Recently MC was blamed for errors in the census, David Gallop on social forums is often blamed for every single thing that goes wrong or through wrong with Football in Australia.
In the US the rise of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump is born as much out of a lack of faith or belief in American structures. Britext was in many ways brought about by those arguing against the system.
To me it seems that since the loss of influence by Christian churches or say religion there has been a kinda battle to deliver the new moral systems we should follow. Kinda like the Conservative right against a PC left, each claiming to have the high moral ground with right on their side.
More recently Christian and Capitalist at the extremes seem to have formed an alliance. The US has its Tea part and if Cory Bernardi gets his way he will form Australia’s own Tea Party.
The left on the other hand have been splitting for years. Without trying to start a war on a political issue please just read this as read its important latter. Green held inner city seats and possible victories had members of both the inner city greens and ALP leaders saying they would stop West Connects at the next election. But from a Climate change stance the much less carbon would help in some small way. Please don’t use this as any part of an argument as I said its important latter.
It seems as long as you blame the establishment nothing is off limit, or nothing is outrageous.
We seem to have lost faith in the establishment and to some extent there are valid concerns. However last night on Q & A .
Professor Brain Cox a person I have huge respect for was talking about Climate Change. Cox was putting his views on Climate Change and the earth is warming.
Malcom Roberts Queensland One Nation senator said Climate Change was all BS.
Cox challenged him and Roberts said because the base figures have been corrupted. Essentially all the reports were invalid as the base information was corrupted. Cox grew furious and further challenged Roberts to say who was corrupt.
Roberts then said …. This beggars belief .. Roberts said NASA was corrupt.
Roberts claimed NASA was corrupting base data.
Two questions scream off the page do we no longer have any faith in any professional body, government agency, business group… and secondly when groups with ideological views change their stance to suit personal circumstances it does i.e. inner city Greens are more concerned with their local suburb than reducing carbon from vehicles.
I am using the inner city argument not to stir but to show how it allows fools like Roberts to be able to argue their case.
NASA IMO is without peer in Scientific research and its standards, have pull man on the moon, built space stations, flown space shuttles in and out of space, sent probes to different parts of our solar system, built telescopes in space, plus all that star war stuff and world communication systems etc.
Yet people can say NASA is corrupt, simply because it does not suit their political stance on Climate Change.
By the holy mother of Mary…. One Nation must have dragged Roberts from some angry talk back listener. There another the constant fear screams at us constantly by talk back that hype up even good stories and create fear out of nothing. In our own small way Football has been a victim of talk back fear mongering Alan Jones and WSW fans were terrorists, some Melbourne shock jock compared Greek kids wrapped in a Greek flag and letting off a flare as the same as the French Jihads.
How to end this rant… not sure but… fcuk it… I am getting beyond annoyed at the almost constant BS going on and some things should just be above this stuff…
