Ummm I dont know where you have been mate, but I see at least five or six GGA people on the same email list as you, I, BenW, etc co-ordinating tifo, planning and etc. If that is people not working together, then I dont know what your personal goals for this association is. As far as gameday, who from GGA was telling you the songs had to be done a certain way?serious14 said:Furns - BenW from Sydney, myself, and quite a few others have been "suggesting" a plan of attack for nearly 2 years now. Many of the GGA have said that they have been prepared to work with us, yet when it comes to game day, it's their way or no way at all. And when their way consists of the same three chants with no repetition, constantly speeding up..... and then giving up about 11 minutes into the game (by my count) - that's not really conducive to any sort of atmosphere, is it??
I again dont know where you were sitting, but TheGeneral was the only capo in the bay, I was the drummer and we were attempting to get the whole bay singing - which didnt happen. I was down near the front to try to get some sort of co-ordination happening for people down there, but the singing from the back section wasnt loud enough for me to pick up the chant.
So I went to the back and stood next to him and drummed. Still didnt help.
So you want to exclude people from one group to create another one? That simply doesnt make sense. The Home End concept is to have everybody from the different groups working together, so again, I dont know what your expectations are, it just sounds like you have an agenda against the gga. I dont give a rats arse what club you are from either, I have been working with whoever from wherever, and want things to change. As Greenpole said, we've moved past the point where some sort of exclusive group gets to run the active support for our national team. _EVERYONE_ should have a say in how its done. I don't give a flying f*ck what club you're from or who you are..... if you're prepared to work with me to make the Home End better, then I'll do it. Squadron, Cove, I don't care.
As far as portioning blame for last night crap atmos, I will say it again, it was a United Home End section, and we are all responsible.
If you disbanded the GGA tomorrow, and the Home End was the only group, it would still have been a crap atmosphere because it doesnt matter who says what on which forum mate, its the people in the bays who are not active supporters that are the ongoing issue.
