. other than rotation, i haven't noticed any suggestions as to how he will fit into the team ... who makes way? does the formation change?
The simple solution is he's most likely to bump Moresche to a bench/rotation role, I feel like Urena is higher in the pecking order and creates more. Might ruffle a few feathers but will also take some heat off him and Urena to be both creator and finishers. Sometimes less pressure means more results.

I wouldnt rock the boat with formation but an option might be a 4-3-3 to get all 3 across the front and some combo of Nkolo/Goddard/Steele/Ballard - Oli - Nisbet behind them. Feels like too much upheaval to fit 3 players together who aren't prolific in their scoring so far.

Couple of schooners at Bay Road pre game before being introduced to the crowd at the game.

Actually might be introduced to the crowd at half time if they can't get him out of Bay Road.

Looks like it's on. Agreed don't want to disrupt our strikers building into their partnership - but it will be a long season with condensed games so this could make a big difference having another proven goalscorer.

I expect to see Simon back but can't see him playing the role he did last season
Could it be a swap for Birras?...

My opinion is that the 2 spots up front are currently Moresches & Urenas. Cummsberry is gonna have to sit on the bench and take his opportunity when he gets it. It could bring the best out in all three of them.

Other option could be to trial Moresche in a wide midfield spot, putting Beni on the bench or possibly Ballard/Steele if Niz was to slot into the middle.

I think that will come with squad rotation. There will be plenty of opportunity with a compressed covid ravaged schedule and if we qualify for the ACL then we have at least the game against Kobe. If we win that we then have 6 games in 11 days for the group stage.

If he gets on the end of some of Marcos passes instead of Nisbitt it could be a good buy.

I think he’ll link up well with our attack as we don’t have a true point man. Marcos drops back so brilliantly and moves well so should be ripping combo and Moreshe can move left in place of Beni who can be a super sub

I think you might drop Beni/Mueller and move Moresche back into that position with Jason up front. It's so good having these problems, we don't seem to have any lemons this season in the mids/forwards.

Edit: I shoulda just put "what he said ^" :)

Aloisi, Maca, Mori, & Matty are the only out and out strikers we have had IMO.... playing in front of this team he should get lots of ball....

Moresches, Urenas, Nizzy, Cy, Olly, Muller, Beni, to that these days add Miller & Farrell.... thats not counting Steel, Balard, Hatch & Maccarthy.... who can all play as well...

Thats 9 players all having shown they can play to a striker in the box...

James McPake says Dundee couldn’t stand in Jason Cummings’ way with striker set to complete Australia move

Jason Cummings.

Jason Cummings.

Jason Cummings is on the verge of his Dundee exit with a move to Australia all but confirmed.

The 26-year-old is due to fly Down Under this weekend to seal a switch to A-League side Central Coast Mariners.
Cummings was an unused substitute for the Dark Blues in their midweek defeat at Livingston.
But that’s likely to be his last involvement as a Dundee player with his last appearance coming on December 14 in defeat at Hibs.

Jason Cummings grabbed his last goal in a draw at Hearts.
Shortly after that, Cummings had a high-profile breach of discipline, arriving on stage at the Open Goal Live event in Glasgow dressed as the Joker.
And was subsequently sent home from training by manager James McPake the following day.
Despite that, Dens boss McPake has wished the striker well in ahead of his move.
“Jason was in today and is booked for a flight on Saturday,” the Dundee manager confirmed.
“We wish him all the best, he helped us get promoted and I hope he does do well out in Australia.
“I hope he goes there, shows the type of player he can be when things are right and scores goals.

“We all know he’s got that in him, this is a great opportunity for him and a change of environment might be what he needs.
“We couldn’t stand in his way, similar to when Graham Dorrans went, because it’s a great way of living down there.

“Jason has to focus on his football and get that side of it right because when he does that, his scoring record shows what he’s capable of.”

Cummings scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for Dundee.
