Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I suspect that Noah Smith would have expected to battle out the LB role with Matt Hatch. With only a few minutes in a FFA Cup game maybe he is missing Adelaide.

I can definitely see smith going home for some NPL.
he’s been huge disappointment. I never expected him to be a world beater obviously and no one expected Farrell to be so good and solid, but it seems Noah is barely challenging for a spot, if he was he’d of featured a hell of a lot more… ie; Miller taking storms spot.

Lewis miller is building to become a great CB.

Hes not the same player as last year.
I can’t speak to that but while I can see improvement I would still find the prospect of Hall & Miller starting together in CB a concern due to age and experience. It’s not a gamble we can afford to take so early in our recovery. Worth noting that would make Roux our full time RB and leave us short on subs/depth.

Bit harsh on Noah, obviously he can’t challenge for a spot when Farrell is doing so well

It is - but realistically even without Farrell he would be fighting for the spot with Hatch. Further forward on the left we have played Beni, Cy, Hatch and that is Muller preferred position.

If he sees he is not going to get game time how does he react. During the last home game after we made the final change he looked a bit miffed.

He has just turned 21 so he has no need to panic yet.

With the amount of cup and A league games we’ve played so far you’d have expected more rotation if he were up to scratch. I mean we see Miller & Roux swap regularly but not Farrel and smith.

Miller needs to be managed, coached and subbed when his brain farts appear or his emotions get the better of him. None of the above for Farrell.

Maybe Smith needs to develop his right foot and swap sides....

Yeah, why would you keep him, and why would he want to stay. I mean Roux is getting time ahead of him FFS no matter what f**king foot you are

That was my point when I raised his name. I doubt he thought he would have single figure Cup minutes and 0 League minutes at this stage of the season.

It was rumoured to be happening in this transfer window at the beginning of the season. This is probably why we recruited such a strong number two. Given our current situation with Sozer we need to recruit immediately if Birraz goes.
Rubs salt in the wound for Sozer.

Don't know what the situation is but Danny Vukovic has been sat on the bench all season for his Eredivisie club.

No question he's earned it and id much rather see him OS than in another A league club. Should leave a substantial amount of money available for a replacement if the club elects to spend it. Since we're out of visa spots I'd imagine that leaves us looking at some of the better NPL keepers around Aus on a contract until the end of the season.
