Really uninspiring performance. If the away bay was on the other side in the sun I probably could have fallen asleep after a few drinks at the Beer festival.

The boys really don't seem to gel as well as previous seasons. I know the last two seasons we had a core that had been playing together from NPL, but there have been a few instances this season where the players get mad at each other and not in an acceptable competitive kind of way.

Why is our captain (who i think has been better than some have given him credit, but still not near his peak) not seeing out games? We have 3 centre backs and he is the one that gets taken off. How is he not fit enough to see out the 90? (yes i know, zoom fitness lessons).

Hubby asked the exact same re Sainsbury tonight.

To clarify, the fitness sessions are not via zoom and we have an in person S&C coach. We have a “consultant” who “consults” via zoom. Hope we are genuinely not paying the bloke because this forum could possibly “consult” better, for free.

As to whether the S & C coach is up to par, the jury is out. By all accounts he’s a good guy and a good coach who worked under Bryce. By my eyeballs, the results are unfavourable to our last few seasons by a mile. Something isn’t working / clicking.

This is what happened the last time he got sacked in UK (Carlisle?)
Shit football, refusal to change and was eventually punted
You don't have a clue Fulham. He joined a just relegated Milton Keynes Dons when they were in free fall. They were in 22nd spot and his first game in charge was their first win in 4 months. They got a futher 5 wins but still got relegated so he got sacked with a 24% win ratio in a shit side (9 draws)
They are still in the same division in 18th spot and still no where near Carlisle.

It was MK Dons, heaps of injuries, missed relegation by 1 point. A good run followed by lots of injuries followed by relegation.

Similar circumstances did happen 2 clubs in a row though...I think it was Doncaster before the Dons.

Don't think he was ever at Carlisle. Edmo and Alfie were but they played under him for Leeds or England youth, that's the connection.
He was never at Doncaster but his assistant Danny Schofield was. Do you blokes do research for the ABC?

Yeah you're right.

Leeds-born Jackson, who also played for his hometown club, was sacked from his role as head coach of MK Dons following their relegation to League Two on the final day of last season.

He registered just six wins in 25 games during his five months in charge after leaving his role as Leeds’ first-team coach to take the job.

Will that be live streamed? Could we see some inter forum tarkowski tackles?

Very pleasant and amicable game. Congratulations to Ozhammer for the win.

Same can’t be said for my actual team’s game that I missed for no reason. The nicest and most placid guy in our team was king hit for no reason with three minutes to go. Right in front of the referee as well.

Agreed Mick, ours was a very sporting game played in good humour and the beers tasted great afterwards.

Was the incident you mentioned in the game after ours?

I have had bowel movements more inspiring than that performance.
Well said. TBH I wouldn't have let their goal stand because of the interference with DPC but that is beside the point. We were in a position where we needed to win all our remaining games to (1) have an outside shot at finals and (2) avoid an Australia cup playoff. The fact that we didn't have a shot on target at all speaks volumes in a game we needed to get 3 points from.

Agreed

Also they deserved the goal for a neat trick play (like to see more of these from teams) snd Doka was caught half arseing it and no body made any effort to try get back to cut off the last cut back. Horrible defense all round.

Why? We're playing like a side who can't wait for the season to end and they actually have attackers who can score. Maybe Stanton getting the flick could derail them but they will feel we're there for the taking.
We want to avoid playoffs for australia cup that should be still motivation enough
