Felt sorry for NZ though, no way their goal was offside - not least as the still showed the ball was well off the foot when the very marginal offside line was found.

The situation certainly developed further since he was linked. I don’t think the APL will let Glory die but they won’t give him a great squad

Newcastle have chosen Volendam as Kuol’s next club because of the Eredivisie’s reputation for developing young players. The Premier League side have also loaned Yankuba Minteh to Feyenoord this summer, after signing the 19-year-old from Odense in Denmark.

Volendam, who finished 14th in the Dutch top flight last season, already have a young first-team squad which contains seven teenagers. Matthias Kohler, Volendamn’s 32-year-old new head coach, also has a good record of working with young players.

Would have preferred a British club where it's easier to keep tabs on him, but at least he's likely to get a lot of playing time at FC Volauvant.
