If you would have had a go a couple of years ago at predicting where Ruon would be today based on his form and trajectory, a very feasible prediction would be something similar to Kye - playing in a decent European League after earning a lucrative move with another season starring for the Mariners and a place in the Socceroos squad at the WC.

Having a shocker for some lowly team in Iran wouldn't have got many votes.
