ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Unpatriotic it may be but I hope Staj smashes them and goes further.
He'd be a perfect successor to Arnie.
Shame they won't do it
They did ask him to apply for the Olyroos job after the recent Olympic campaign for consideration. I think he declined (citing his Philippines Womens' role) so not entirely out of the question.

A Socceroos gig may not have the same sort of issues as the Matildas job. If Arnold is replaced by an Australian he should be the top of the list. He is a value add manager - not a 'I'll go to a big club and buy the best players' manager

FA still treated him horribly and dragged him through the mud, hence the legal action and payout. Some faces might have changed but I wouldnt be confident all the problems are gone.
Surely Staj would know who the toxic people were, and if they are gone - or sufficiently contrite - he might be tempted. It is the top job in Oz football after all.

I'd rather him than Poppa or Muscat... or Aloisi.

But I'd choose Herve Renard if we could get him.

Due to respect to Muscnt hes really proving himself in Japan. Sure he picked up APs team but there's a few players who have been sold.

Also did very well with Victory truth be telt...

I suspect he's very good at galvanising a team into a strong unit. That's exactly what we need for the NT.

I suspect Staj is the better technician, but whatever gets results when you don't have the best cattle...

The answer is obvious, but I doubt they would appoint Monty yet.

I feel like the failures that followed him made him look better but perhaps he was better able to sway the club management regarding recruitment and when they got involved it went downhill. He had the big club curse where you never know if its the manager or the budget doing the heavy lifting. Had some ordinary seasons towards the end of his tenure too.

He made the semis every year, won two GFs, one premiership and one FFA Cup.

Not bad, although with Victory's resources it's probably a bare pass.

I’m pretty sure one of their gf’s came from a season where they just scraped in to finals towards the end of his stint. Definitely papered over some cracks at the time.

So the wife and I are about to fly out on a 3 week trip around the UK, not many football friendlies line up but I will be in Edinburgh for a cup match between Hibs and Greenock. Hopefully Miller will be playing for them and do the mariners proud
Enjoy the trip. Hibs had their first competitive game yesterday in the same cup comp and Miller came off the bench. He has been given the number 2 jersey but last years RB is an experienced player with a decent pedigree and he got the nod to start yesterday
