Ultimately it was a fair result and we did really well to hold it to 1-0. I have no complaints other than it's a shame we couldn't hold out just that 10-15mins longer

Rugby Australia is investigating allegations of bad behaviour from the Australian men’s rugby sevens team on their flight home from the Tokyo Olympics.

The details of what occurred on the flight are yet to emerge but the Australian Olympic Committee and Rugby Australia are aware of the alleged incidents, which are believed to involve drunken behaviour and leaving the plane bathrooms in a mess. Japan Airlines has reportedly complained to the AOC.

100%, cannot really blame them and the media loving the controversy and at the moment it does not appear to be anything really bad. Unfortunately we as a nation do not hold ourselves to the same standards as the Japanese when our sporting teams visit other countries. Now a good amount of them are stuck in the NT for two weeks, hope they can at least enjoy themselves up there.

All of our athletes have a duty to behave themselves whilst representing our country.
However, if this incident was so bad (as the media have made it out to be) it raises the questions of "What were the officials that traveled with them doing? " and "What is the airlines responsibility in supplying the alcohol?"
Also , it was reported that vomit was left in a room in the village. "Did the host nation have cleaning equipment available to the athletes or did the athletes let them know that the room needed cleaning?
Let`s face it,the media will jump on anything to get away from the Covid saga...

I thought the airline did make a formal complaint to the AOC in writing..... either way they're all wearing a uniform. Surely these athletes are aware by now that when your in uniform your behaviour reflects that of the greater team and is subject to intense media scrutiny.
