ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I get splinters in the arse every time I see this debate go up, from sitting on the fence!

I can see both sides' argument.....I do know the history behind Mr. Celery's situation with the Breakers and the fact many ex Rowdies headed to the Mariners instead of the Jets, because of Con's ownership of the Jets.

Fair enough I say, if you have had a bad experience with Con, then by all means support someone else, or not support Football at all.

But the A-League has been going for 4 seasons now, the franchises were known nearly 5 years ago.

And I wonder how long it must be before folks give up the 'rage' against all and sundry who support the Jets, purely because of the previous past bad experience that had with the owner of the club?

While this forum has seen trolling outbursts from GoldJets, and few other Jets supporters having a go, their forum has also seen some mighty outbursts from our side too (Serious, Dibo and Celery are well known to the Squadron moderators).

We are not squeaky clean, and I cannot see how going on another club's supporters' forum and raising hell is going to make any forward progress in more civil exchanges between the two groups.

People like Brett, FFC Mariner & Marinermick have all socialised well with other supporter groups & enhanced the name of the Marinators by their goodwill in the name of Football.

While Mr. Celery previously did a great job with the Rowdies in supporting the Breakers that was a long time ago and when the Football scene was much much different.

I hate to say this, but sometimes I wonder whether agitators within our supporters' base is sometimes more a millstone around our necks than need be.

The Central Coast Mariners franchise was largely a 'greenfield' franchise, and no previous top flight Football team existed here or competed in the old NSL regime. Yet the Marinators found themselves having to be diplomatic in dealings with our closest neighbours from day 1?

LATE EDIT: Mr. Celery, while being the topic of this Thread, is certainly NOT the only one holding a candle from past loyalties. Ursus sees all things in a 'spirited' way and Sacko still hates the Bob Stand, even though Football has not been played at North Sydney Oval for how long? While these gentlemen contribute occasionally on this forum with alternative views to the current 'ultras, pro flares movement'  ::) of this season, I find myself reading some of their comments wondering where the angle for their pet hate is placed within the context.

Hopefully not using this username! Can imagine some sqadrunts thinking THE M. Simon was having a go, and throwing bottles at the poor player next match, lol.

Pft, all I did was inform them that they enjoy consensual sexual intercourse with their sisters and that it was indeed 2-0 and they f*cked it up.

No part of that statement is incorrect as far as I'm concerned.

Well at least it will give Hutcho a break.

If people think Celery goes too far sometimes, that's fine, but I think telling him to 'get over it' is a bit rich unless you have been through what he has.

If something evil was to happen to the CCMFC, I wouldn't be just moving on and forgetting about it a couple of years later. I'd be f**king pissed off. Forever.

I've also learnt from the likes of Celery and some of the other senior heads a lot about the last few years of the NSL in this part of the country, and I'm grateful to have had them because it's worth knowing what's going on to put things into perspective. I also find some of Celery's photoshopped stuff extremely funny, and much more worthwhile than a lot of posts. And this is just his forum contribution. He's also a top bloke with an awesome pool.

I know where Celery stands on the Jets, Con and all that, and it's pretty easy to cruise past a post or thread if I don't feel like reading a rant. But I don't think you can hold his opinions against him. And if your only problem if that he's repetitive/persistent...maybe you should get over it. You're probably repetitive too.

I think you erred big time with the protest, and I'm not alone in thinking that. Maybe you had bad council from some of your less credible collegues, I don't know. It was something that I personally wouldn't have remotely entertained when the Breakers were cellar dwellers during the 'Kosmina Years'. If simply saying that (as I did) is worth a ban, I really don't care.

And your not the only one that disagrees with how we went about our silent protest. Well, even Con is on side with you there. BUT there is and has been alot of support for what we did and some from unexpected areas of our town and club. IMO fans have every right to express there opinions and this is what we did, in the most peaceful way possible.

We just want our club to run the right way and it is possible with con in charge.

1 sentence that clearly explains how he is able to keep screwing you guys over.

Face facts, he is a disaster for the game and your club. Wont change until he is gone.
