ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I am sure you can still buy a copy ......... I think i's more  reflection of the market demographic football is chasing. Most Boomers are rusted on to there existing codes whereas the X & Y gen's are not so. Thus the pitch is at the market demographic "they see" as willing buy a football product. My guess will be aimed at women as well as men...... thus will need a fair bit of skill from the editor .......... and hopefully as Dibbo & Kev have already stated will have articles and stories of interest like what Kool eats for breakie, and how he takes his kids to the park and plays on the  seasaw ........ well maybe not my examples ...... but you get the idea not player stats ......... at least I hope not.

What's the bet that it will take the form of AFL and NRL rags, with the bulk of content revolving around:

. who's allegedly sniffing coke or popping pills
. who's allegedly glassing their girlfriend in a pub
. who's allegedly sleeping with the captain's wife
. who allegedly is blowing over the limit while driving their sports car
. who allegedly deserting football for the money in another code

Well, maybe not the last one.  ;D

Seriously, I hope it doesn't take that tone, as it is destroying NRL at least (not that I care), although Melbournians AFL-ers seem to thrive on that stuff.

Thankfully AFW is better than I thought. Not brilliant, but what can you expect for under a fiver. The two page article on Bossa was a nice read.

Take out the Full90 mag insert and there's not much there beyond adverts and a few articles that read suspiciously like previous content re-written slightly differently.

Some of the stats made no sense - figures without any context.

Biggest downer was that 'King Tosser Sacker Whacker' was the poster boy on the front page and inside  - no taste.

A glossy mag style when I was expecting a newspaper feel to it. Not sure if that's a plus or minus.

Jury is out at this stage, but if it stays like this, it's a positive addition for the football-starved punter.

"UK Premier League" is the point in the media release where i decided i will not be purchasing this. Combine that with the fact that info is readily available all over the internet.

Yeah would prefer a purely Oz mag. There is plenty of football in oz to fil a mag a week. Look at how much space the tele wastes on thugby a day
lol, thats not what i meant. Was pointing out the fact that they cannot even name the league correctly, therefore i have no confidence in their ability to put a decent mag together.

Yeah, they're supposed to say Hyundai A-League.

...Probably Barclay's Premier League, too.
