ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Did anyone hear the commentators mention our record with Jonathan B as Ref? It was 1 win from 14 matches and make that now 15. We have made the finals the last two seasons so the come back we were trash for a long time is not a valid excuse anymore.

FIFA I suspect. Similarly we aren't allowed the extra angles they use for decisions
It is FIFA. Before the APL was the APL they and the FFA were trying to get permission to do an NRL bunker style explanation but they didnt get it. Our only hope is outrage in bigger leagues leading to reform.

I have no doubt it would lead to a better experience, may even push the refs in the booth to have more accountability as they need to talk through their process in real time. Sadly it wont make them any more competent.

Id suspect FIFA doesn't want VAR so they make it as opaque as possible so as to influence results in bigger games/leagues. But I'm super fkn cynical about the purity of professional football.

Yes we were shafted by this call and VAR did look at it. But in this case KGJ went with the Refs call because not an obvious error however suggested the Cumdingo goal was clear and obvious when it was not clear who touched the ball first and last. KGJ always shafts us, the fact he gets the most VAR jobs and doesn’t have to explain himself is a blight in the league.
