Why do Sydney get the home game against us again, when they had a home game against us last year in our last Australia cup game?

luck of the draw. Host is determined by draw order (first drawn n a match up is host), if the side is A league or not (NPL always host if playing A league. Overrides draw order), if the side is Wellington (not eligible to host anyone)

I’m generally pro Nix and think even 2 NZ teams makes some commercial sense but I agree that they don’t really fit the Aus cup. Probably not something that needs to be addressed right now but if the A league expands further and NSD gets up it’ll need a rework then.

I can tolerate them in the A League but not the Australia cup, it doesn’t make sense.
