ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i did play the game for over 25 yrs up to State league level as a central defender so have an idea about defence
Your analysis of the game says different.
Kaltak has not been at his best as he has to worry about the team as captain and is playing out of his best position LCB
Another excuse. He captains his country so that shouldn't be an issue.
I agree he has made more mistakes this year resulting in goals to the opposition but
No but, just agree.
Paull does not show the aggression or urgency to play at this level. His positional play is poor
He is learning at this level. He hasn't played 30 plus internationals. But he is improving this season. I don't think he is a starter but could be a decent squad player over time.

Acceptable away point, could’ve easily won. But it was just the same old story. No genuine goal threat to compliment the consistent chances created. The ball watching for their shit goal was embarrassing and I hope Jacko really lets Kaltak and Paull know about it. But aside from that everyone was pretty decent, plenty of stand outs. The theo hate is laughable, yeah he wasn’t brilliant but aside from a couple fouls he didn’t really see the ball. Relax people 😂
Eames, Alfie, Doka and especially Noah were my picks of the bunch. Noah really impressed but unsurprisingly ran out of legs, his delivery into the box was excellent. We lost nothing and gained a new dynamic with him there. And even though sains only had 10mins or so, Geeze the defence immediately looked more comfortable and solid. We can 100% build from here.
I have been wondering why he couldn’t get a look in up until now, as for mine Maraugis has been a mixed bag and should have been benched before now. I was dirty that Jacko didn’t give him the last 15 against Adelaide, as there was little to lose and it would have helped him a adjust to game speed last night.

Hopefully he will now be given a proper chance to lock down a spot and I wouldn’t mind seeing him paired with Lucas on that flank like they did with Noah and Faz a couple of seasons back.

Sains will help because...
... he'll replace Paull. I don't rate Paull very highly, mainly because of positional awareness, however I was actually quite impressed with some of his hitherto unforseen drives forward. Amazing what a bit of pressure on your place in the team can do. As we see players return from injury maybe competition for places will drive the team's motivation a bit harder.

In a 343 Paull will play alongside Brian and Sains.
