ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Faejo had some really nice touches yesterday and linked well with Mauragus. He reminded me a lot of Doka yesterday. Only problem is Doka is RB turned attacker we don’t need another Doka.

We need a foreigner with pace and skill. He is too slow and shoots worse than Angel did when he first got here.

I can see him developing but it’s just no where near what we need

Monty would of sent him home in January. I don’t know if Mark will or has the money available to do it and get the right replacement.

He was hooked at HT for a reason.

Dunno if it’s been mentioned but probably the biggest positive out of yesterday was Sains saying he feels like he’s well ahead of schedule in his recovery. That’s huge, we desperately need some genuine quality back in the side and leadership. Hope he can be back around December.

Obviously things are quite ominous right now on the pitch but I personally really believe that a more positive and pro active tactical set up and ethos and we’ll find form again, particularly in the league, regardless of the injuries we have. This 5-2-3 worked for maybe half a game. It totally f**ked us yesterday. Ditch it and ditch the 4-4-2. Jacko’s 442 is a poor mans Monty 4-4-2. Just way too passive and defensive. Our boys still show plenty of high quality link play in the final third, the issue is we barely get up that end atm. Because we can’t play out because the current system is so f**king flawed for playing out and even counter attacks.

Paull is taking his spot
Kaltak is much better at LCB
yeah you put the right footed CB on the left and the left footed CB on the right so they can pass between themselves comfortably and still pass to the midfield or wings.

Ive seen truck drivers turn Mack trucks better than Paull turns.

Sticking his leg out is horrible defending.

He had the position on the 3rd goal but is way to lumbering. Nix went round him so easily. Sure he got unlucky with the rebound but for his size should be pushing the player off the ball if he could move better.

Yep and Sutton is a lightweight and not very good, that goal hurt.

I didnt see the game live as i was at Coldplay. I just watched it now.

It was actually better than i was expected when i saw the scoreline. The Centre backs are all a problem atm. I thought the Fullbacks went ok.

One key point at about the 60min mark Mauragis gets stranded upfield and we completely fail to pick up his winger. Our defenders and back tracking mids are just watching the ball oblivious to the unmarked player waiting for a tap in. This shows a lack of experience and on-field organisation. Thankfully Sash finally snuffed out the danger.

Alfie and Doka had some good moments.

We actually went better with Ngor and Kuol on the pitch. Brandtman did well and with a bit more composure could have had a double.

I'm not panicking. I still think we will make the 6.
We dont need 2 Anchors and Steele is a better DM (I didnt say great, just better) by miles. Alfie is supposed to be the creative Niz replacement but he is so deep he is completely ineffective

Alfie set up 5 goal scoring opportunities yesterday and had two half-decent shots. Steele made 1 good tackle.
Alfie was brought in to replace Max but with Di Piz out we don't have a Niz replacement.

#MeToo.....
A lot of Coasties on the train to Gosford this morning in Coldplay t-shirts so perhaps the crowd at Industree stadium might have been better if Coldplay weren't playing....
