ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Was parking the bus a deliberate tactic to prove to the boys they can win either attacking or defending?
I think it shows the type of coach Jacko is.

He’s got many options in the kit bag and the boys are starting to understand what they are.

That’s 2 games in a row he has fundamentally changed the formation mid game to suit the dynamics, and the boys have responded.

These are very good signs.

Admittedly I was pretty skeptical when Jacko threw Paull on and parked the bus… then there was some hairy moments from the boys with some tiredness.. but that was all made fine by Torres’ late goal. We were really in control for the vast majority with and without the ball.
Overall a very good away win, again, some very sexy football in patches. Marco is hitting prime time form, one of his best matches in a ccm shirt. Defence was imperious overall. And they’ve definitely been working on angel’s finishing, he’s so composed and lethal right now.

Cmon you yellow and blue

So proud after that performance. Went into the match thinking we’ll lose considering our current fitness levels but I was proven wrong. I’ll give full credit to Jacko on that one, the 4-3-3 and style of football we played was done to perfection, we sat deep and pressed tight to then force errors which we’ll counter on and score. Shame 2 were disallowed because then we would have won 5-0.

That switch to a back 5 made me nervous and tbh wasn’t great watching but it’s important to have options up our sleeve if we want to cope with more AFC games and that very busy period coming up.

Nizzy higher up is paying off and he still does so much tracking back. Absolute machine. Tulio looks to have found his groove and Torres right there with him.

I said weeks ago that the international break was going to be the most important period of finding out who we are this year. It was the first time the gaffs got more than a couple of days to try and implement his style.

We have gone undefeated in all comps since, really starting to see an identity in this team now. Really starting to click.

January and a goal scorer is critical.
AND Wilson and Theo not getting a run could be a factor
