Like we'd touch MarinerTard with a 100ft pole  ;D.  Funniest thing I can think of would be Tards taking him back.... the whole league would laugh, while their whole fan base would go totally apoplectic

Please take him..........please lol

has reported for training but there's hope for us

WORLD Cup hopeful Michael Beauchamp will be heading home to the A-League after the Socceroos campaign in South Africa for a new challenge with Melbourne Heart.

The defender, who is hoping to make Pim Verbeek's final 23 for the tournament, is currently with UAE club Al-Jazira.

After a stint with Central Coast Mariners he had spells in both Germany and Denmark.

Bolton, Thompson, Beauchamp, Colosimo, Heffernan, Shroj, Aloisi, Sarkies,  a brazilian and probably Skoko - what's that about teams and salary cap restrictions in Melbourne?

They'll have f**k all depth though.  They've already signed 6 u21s, only 1 of whom (Marrone) has any first team experience, and besides another couple of foreigners (one of whom may well be a marquee) and maybe Skoko (who will reportedly be Aus marquee) they will only really sign more squad filler.

This isn't Rangers/Celtic

Explain...

An ingrained rivalry (hatred) built up over hundreds of years to the point where no club would dare sign a player from the other, and when said taboo was broken it was a travesty for all concerned.

*shrugs*  I guess I just don't see the rivalry with Newcastle the way a lot of others do - personally I detest Sydney a whole lot more, and just generally pity Newcastle.  If Griffiths bangs in 15 goals a season, I fail to see how this is a bad thing, regardless of whether he's a bellend or not.

In keeping Mrdja for as long as they have (and re-signing him), the club has shown that they never truly believed the "no dickhead" policy in the first place.

If he signed (dont think it would ever happen......but) the minute he copped massive flack from the squadrunts and he gave them a gobfull you would be onboard.
Imagine having their most loved former player giving them shite of the pure cnut variety. Would bring a warmth to the lower cockle region that would last all season!

Would i be annoyed that it is sackwhack? Yes, but i will get over it.

To the best of my memory, we have never signed a scummer. I doubt that this is because of the rivalry, its more to do with opportunity. We tend to use them as a dumping ground for our cast offs.

We were in hard for Thompson before he joined the cap cheaters in Melb (you read it here 1st folks) - I would have loved him to come here, scum or not.

Would you accept the (good) Elrich? D'Appuzzo? I would.

As for Sackwhack? Dumb as dogshit he obviously is, but he is the ultimate pantomime villain and I reckon he would play up big time to the crowd.

Of course, if he didnt go so good, we could vilify him horribly.

So its win/win for me Eddie. He scores lots of goals and we win or he is pony and we have the baddiest baddie of all time (might help some people start to leave poor Kwas alone too)

The World Game understands that A-League champion Sydney FC has bolstered its playing stocks with the signing of Scott Jamieson from Adelaide United.

Skoko signs with Heart

While Sydney coach Vitezslav Lavicka confirmed that luring playmaker Nicky Carle is the club's transfer priority, the Sky Blues wasted little time securing 21-year-old Jamieson, who was born in the city's western suburbs.

Just last week Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar admitted that the Reds would find it tough to re-sign Jamieson and Adam Griffiths.

"Jamieson and Griffiths are two players that we desperately want," Vidmar said.

"But at this point of time it's a little bit difficult with the financial situation, so we'll do everything we possibly can to make sure that we have got those two and then we can move forward."
Despite ongoing negotiations with Socceroos midfielder Carle, Sydney has a back-up plan should a deal for the 28-year-old fail to eventuate - with a foreign playmaker in the mix.

Meanwhile, Sydney FC striker Chris Payne is believed to have rejected a new contract offer from the club
