ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A-League Transfers and Rumours

A lot of talk about Carlos Vela wanting to come to the A-League. Seems to be based on a comment a few months ago and the fact he hasn't re-signed yet with LA. His contact runs to the end of the year. As a marquee for the league he would be great. Probably not that well known here but for the the APL wanting to sell into America and Mexico he could be a great pick up. He would certainly be out of our price range but some of the clubs with rich owners may think it worth the punt.

That’s not going to end well, can you honestly imagine Muscu*t operating in such a formal courteous environment? :headbounce:

For those who know Muscat (my best man in Melbourne) and have spoken to him (myself numerous times) he is exactly that - courteous, respectful and intelligent.

His persona on the field to off the field is very different.

I will bow to your personal knowledge of the man Mick but as Arnie can testify operating in Japan is a very different environment. Ange seems to have been able to navigate those waters and I guess we will see if Muscat can do similarly.

tomer hammed signed for the porchers .
im sure a lot of their muslim fan base will love him
They are crying some horrid over it. He’s a really good striker and they are more worried about his politics

Everybody is proud if their own country and are brought up with those beliefs. Right or wrong to everyone else

I don’t think he did anything in the season to offend others apart being proud of his heritage. It was seen as amazing when it Da Villa and the mexican fans.

Did he do anything that was wrong?

I’d take him in a heartbeat and I think the nix would be disappointed he left

This is about football not politics and the sins of a father shouldn’t be visited on their sons.

That said, I wasn’t overly impressed with his flag celebrations last season, as that wasn’t an overly good look but he isn’t an Aussie player and he wont have been the only one to have celebrated his national pride in the past.

I agree with TB in so far as if he makes political statements then its open slather and I dont agree with the situation over there. However I agree with you in so far as go for it if you have pride in your nation. Celebrating your country in a foreign country in a league game is odd to me. If you do that in a international, sure no eyes blinked.
