Milligan and troisi back to victory.
It's an arms race. Victory just escalated with signing current Socceroos.
Just what the HAL needs, current Socceroos.

Thanks to Ange it's a viable hunting ground for Socceroos as they are still assured of a spot in the squad if they're playing well enough

Twitter reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has received firm offers from Galatasaray, Melbourne City FC, Marseille & #NUFC.
Without Caceras why would you bother.

Timmy permanently on the bench. They don't learn you need a solid defence and someone to setup Fornaroli

'tech-a-nogical' route:

Rumor has it he has solid wrists and finger tekkers out the wazoo.

Melbourne City are reportedly close to signing Croatian attacking midfielder Antun Palic as their marquee for the upcoming A-League season.

Palic, 29, is a free agent after recently finishing up a two-year stint with Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest.

The attacking midfielder is on the look out for a new club, and the Sydney Morning Herald reports he is close to signing a marquee deal with City.

Warren Joyce's men have been in the market for a new attacker following the departure of Anthony Caceres to the UAE.

Palic, while not as glamorous as previous marquees the club has signed, would be a direct replacement for Caceres on the pitch.

The Zagreb-born playmaker represented Croatia at U19, U20 and U21 level but has never played for the senior team.

Palic has played for a total of eight clubs across four countries in his 10-year playing career.

After starting his career in his home country, Palic moved to Cypriot club AEK Larnaca before stints in Thailand with Bangkok United, Slovenia with NK Krka and lastly in Romania with Dinamo

More Nix signings dependent on departures

Wellington Phoenix, with a full contingent of 23 players ahead of this year's A-League season, must let players go before making any additional signings.

The acquisition of Serbian frontman Andrija Kaludjerovic on Tuesday brought new coach Darije Kalezic's haul to five players, following the arrivals of Dario Vidosic, Scott Galloway, Daniel Mullen and Goran Paracki.

The Phoenix now have a full roster of 23 players, including their allotment of five foreigners - Kaludjerovic, Paracki, Gui Finkler, Marco Rossi and Roy Krishna.

Further changes to the squad before their A-League season opener against Adelaide on October 8 would depend on players leaving or suffering injuries.

Phoenix chief David Dome said he was not placing pressure on any players to leave the club and backed Kalezic's current group to get the job done in 2017/18.

"We're always looking at how we can strengthen the squad but it's difficult at the moment, especially with a squad of 23 - and, looking to bring in players, it's always going to be a costly exercise," Dome said.

"It's a bit of a balancing act."

Irrespective of future comings and goings, Dome said Kalezic and assistant Rado Vidosic had brought much-needed discipline to the Nix's day-to-day operations.

They had added defensive solidity to the side's attacking verve in pre-season, according to Dome, and were enforcing professional conduct.

"I'm strongly of the opinion the jigsaw pieces are coming together," Dome said.

"Also, very impressed with how Darije and Rado are running training, it's a very disciplined outfit now, continually pushing us as a management team to improve other aspects around the club, all the time.''

By the continual mentions of 'discipline' o_O there by the CEO, David Dome, sounds as if last year was quite an 'undisciplined' set-up under Ernie Merrick and his Assistant replacement.
.... oh .. & we would like to fcuk off a few more players .... if they pleased.

Stands well for us, now that Merrick is at The Scum. :D
