I knew we were not in the running, FFA assistance no doubt as he probably qualifies for the Timmy clause. Come on NSW we are being outdone by Vic.

Shit they have such a strong squad

Thomas
Geria - Baro - Ansell - Georgevski
Valeri - Essien
Bozanic
Rojas - Berisha - Troisi

FBK, Broxham, Ingham, Donachie, Austin, Galloway, Mahazi, Nigro

Let's steal Pasquali for a cheap first team squad spot. He'll never get game time there.

Adelaide United eyeing former Jet:

Tough-tackling Taylor Regan was released by the Newcastle Jets over 12 months ago and is currently playing in the Malaysian league with Negeri Sembian FA.

His coach in Malaysia, Aussie Gary Phillips, counts Taylor as one of the most influential foreigners in the league.

But now there is interest from back home. Adelaide United see Regan as the ideal replacement for young defender Jordon Elsey, who has suffered what is believed to be a season-ending ACL injury. However it remains to be seen if the Reds could even get close to the Malaysian salary Regan is currently on.

Speaking of ACL's, former Wanderer/SydFC Corey Gameiro has just done his ACL for a 'mind numbing' 3rd time , whilst at training with Melb.City, unlucky bastard.

Just a matter of how Ansell and Donachie pair alongside the new Baro at CB, otherwise spoilt for choice.

Kenny Lowe was desperately chasing Galloway but Kev wasnt letting him go.

On Reagan, if Adelaide are going to struggle to meet the wage he is earning now in Malaysia, can't understand why someone like Pedj Boic didn't make his way over there when SydFC released him (which was only in January last year)
.... he was still playing half decent football and LB's are as rare as rocking horse shite, probably even more so in the lower ranked Asian countries.

More people in Asia to buy his 'hats' too

Terrible to hear always love watching him when he's fit and thought he could have been the Socceroos next striker sadly seems like he won't be.

You would have to think it would be wise to add a few more A-League/ACL games to his resume and then return to Asia in a year or two. Would think you could make more that way...

A CB who's still only 27 yo ..... yes, especially in these lower ranked Asian Leagues.

IF it was 2nd Division K/J-League or China .... different story, with more cash to be had & 'super'd' away - you'd be more inclined to suggest to him to stay & earn in any one of those 3 leagues then take a pay-cut for Adelaide.

You're right Middy. Hadn't thought about it, on paper probably City right now would be closest to them. How depressing. Still... on paper vs actually being the best squad in history is something quite different. At the moment that honour has to go to Roar I think. They were so utterly dominant under Ange. I would not have looked at their quad and picked it either.

Adelaide United front-runners to sign Holland:

Fringe Socceroos midfielder James Holland is in line for a move back home to Australia, with Adelaide United emerging as favourites to secure his signature.

According to a report by Fox Sports, formal negotiations between Holland and the Reds have taken place, while a number of other A-League teams and clubs in the Middle East, the MLS and in Europe have also expressed an interest.

Holland was released by German club MSV Duisburg, after they were relegated to the 3. Liga, the third-tier of German football at the end of last season.

Bringing in the midfielder would be a huge boost for the Reds after they lost a number of key players during the off-season, including Craig Goodwin and Stefan Mauk.

Holland's potential return to the A-League would bring him back to Australia for the first time since 2009 after he left the Newcastle Jets for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.

The 27 year-old, who has 15 caps for Australia, hopes that regular playing time will put him back into Socceroos contention, having not appeared in the green and gold since his selection in the 2014 World Cup squad.

Adelaide have also lined up a loan-move for La Liga striker Sergi Guardiola in the hopes he can take on some of the goal scoring load after their all-time highest scorer Bruce Djite sealed a move to Suwon FC in the Korean K League.

They can have the Judas cnut, would love to see Monty kicking the living shit out of him x3 times a yesr.

'Fringe Socceroo'
???
Faaark-off ..... he's so far down the list its not funny, many other players have surpassed him.

Ollie Bozanic would be above him in the pecking order. Matty Mckay was being chosen over him in the past

Word has it that Judas Holland has penned a 2 year deal with The Reds, an official announcement from Adelaide to be forthcoming.

Hope Monty 'double-pegs' him 1st game 6th Nov. :innocent:
