ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Its as tedious as TB pushing Mongoloid on You're Listening to What Right Now.
For twenty years you paid for entertainment and got it.
I remember at ten years foundation members were trotted out and applauded. Wasnt that enough recognition for you?
The club is running on the smell of an oily rag. If it doesn't cost anything, [like another parade] then OK, but its limited funds should be spent on getting new members, and retaining current ones. Stroking your ego should be a low priority.
Bad take IMO.

You don’t need to spend money to take care of people.

Could be some special like a training session or special signing session after the last game. Something were the players thank the 20yrs members.

It’s unfortunate that club doesn’t give a shit.

I am with mick. Sounded personal. No need for it.

No i am not a 20yr member but can understand why it’s important to them

Sounds like a community club idea. Never catch on.

f**king hell why even is this a conversation? Because some c**t booted Shaun and the best of the staff for corporate shills and gutted the soul of the club.

Not completely though, we still have some foundation members who've been through thick and thin from day one. I'm not one of them, but anyone that has a true addiction for football and a true love for THEIR club, you know, a club made up of MEMBERS, who have camaraderie and belonging will understand that this dedication, this invested TIME and money does deserve recognition.

And if, as a business, you don't recognize this dedication and commitment then all you have is a product you sell and if you treat your customers like that then you are simply a business selling a product, not a community club.

In such light, if your product turns to shit you can expect your "customers" to treat your product with the level of respect it deserves and not with their passion. Someone at the club needs to man up and give these guys a t-shirt or a badge or a pin or f**king whatever, if you're so poor then an announcement saying thank you at the final game, something.

@Jimmy @priorpeter can you pls have a word and help make something happen? The decline from such a peak is soul destroying, surely we still have a heart beat and some respect for those who've stood strong from the start...

The complaining about not being recognised as special was irritating and I said nothing until he told a critic to f**k off. There was no need for that either.

I think dividing us based on our length of membership is counterproductive.
The club has limited funds and they should be used wisely. Signing better players and keeping existing members after this season's fiasco should be the priority. [I know a few who are thinking of quitting].
Many businesses take customer inertia for granted and focus on getting NEW clients [think internet, insurance mortgages etc]

Your suggestions for training/signing sessions sound good-little or no cost.

Yes, there was a personal element, but if he cant take it, he shouldn't dish it out. Mariner Mick is not averse to attacking others. He has high standards for others on this forum that he cant live up to himself.

Those who've been around for a while can see the precipice we're on and where it looks like we are headed. The seasons where we had only 2-3k regulars were pretty bleak.

A thank you for your loyalty announcement to all members with a special mention to the foundation members doesn't cost anything.

If there isn’t enough put in the kitty this off season the club is going to really need that historically loyal base to stick around.

As fans we've been here before, the sense of impending decline is palpable and everyone is watching to see if a leopard can change it's spots...

Foundation members will be recognised at the last game of the season and will participate in some on field stuff.
Information will go to them on Monday, CCM also have some items to give them.
I bought four memberships thirteen years ago. Like Mariner Mick who says that he brings a thousand dollars to the club each year, I also have helped fund the club. By pandering to his whinge for special attention, the club celebrates the division between Foundation and others. I refuse to be a second-class member, so no renewals for me next season.
Pass that on too will you Jimmy

Come on guys don't let the toxic nature of the Salt Thread infect other threads. One's enough.
