Alyssar has stated on her LinkedIn that she is no longer serving as CEO as she departed from the club last month (Jan 2025).

. I realise that the club's communications strategy is based almost entirely on social media ... but even on that basis - surely it is taking things too far to expect fans to trawl former employee posts on linkedin for any confirmation

. I s'pose it was only the CEO probably not worthy of letting anybody know

To be fair, LinkedIn is for online resumes and talking yourself up. Getting let go from your last 2 roles makes getting the next one hard for anyone especially in the same field.
Not unreasonable to talk yourself up

I’m trying to think if Peil’s money contribution attracted any players that would have otherwise not obtained.

Staj had the decent year climbing the ladder as the youth of Nisbit & co entered the mix.

Was Kaltak, Tulio, etc after the Peil involvement.

He did add funds to training facilities and video review and other spaces which surely helped but based on Monty and Serges recruiting outside the box mixed with youth I do believe we still would have had success and good seasons without Peil.

But would we have got the GF and the Treble is the question?

And would you trade those moments for slightly less successful seasons but be a bit better off this year and next year as well as still having some of those back room staff favourites?

Video review was in before Peil. I know a former football department person who spoke of it, I remember Okon talking about it and we did have a professional at one point who's name escapes me all before Peil.

He added to/refreshed the gym via supporting on the English women's world cup team. Tax write off?

As for players. Maybe he helped with some coin?
TV deal was better back then, I think Monty and co did all the good signings.

So yes he footed the player wages and took the reins/burden from Mike.

But realistically didn’t add much value to the achievements of the 2 years and strong chance we likely have similar success under Mike during that 2 year period due to the great timing of Serge recruit and Monty youth.

So hating on Mike doesn’t make much sense as the evidence suggests Peil just rode the coast tails of the youth and recruitment as previously mentioned and we should probably acknowledge that Mike could have easily have done the same thing.

Worth mentioning as well Montys attacking tactics weren’t exactly stunning was a lot of long balls that just happened to work out well and high wide backs getting the ball to the likes of Tulio and Cummings.
As mentioned many times the highlight of Monty is the recruitment and man management side of his coaching with Serge.
Wasn’t usually pretty football by any means other than some Tulio flicks and tricks.

You people are SO delusional. Alyssar Narey level!

There is NO WAY we would have had those two seasons of success without Piel.

Everything stepped up hugely in levels of professionalism under his control.

Sadly the bloke was an egotist and driven to the point of being cold hearted.....certainly not someone capable of building long term relationships with fans and sponsors. His staffing appointments were also poor.

BUT every decision prior to Piel was always the lowest common denominator......always.

The academy only flourished under Ken due to Anton funding it.

I'm pissed off with RP big time and he has caused alot of damage with his exit BUT to pretend those two season's wouldn't have happened without RP is ridiculous.

He might be a CNUT but he was a mighty useful one for a while.

What areas stepped up hugely do you think had an impact directly on the difference between being say a top 6 team vs GF winners?

And do you think it’s not possible we still could have had similar or slightly less success without peil but more importantly so. is it worth the trade off now he cleared some good people, sponsers, left a stink/ bad aura around the place?

I guess we will find out next year if we can get this next batch up of players up and running supported by some new experience to start selling some players again and some excitement in the air.
