Simon grabbed his shirt and shoved him in the face. Looked like a red to me. Good to see a ref with balls for once. Pappa is a f***wit. Took a disgraceful dive when shoved too.
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
If Ross McCormack is not the best dead ball specialist in the history of the HAL I will be surprised.
On a sad note the reffing/VAR has just imploded to a record low.
Fitzy having a Barry tonight.
just quietly
you want more dala carlosyes it was nice but McCormack has 3 or 4 or that quality already. He is freakish.
BTW was Helen Keller in charge of the camera on the "Fatboy" freekick?
From time to time a few of us on the forum feel that refs consciously give decisions that favour the FFA favourites and against smaller clubs like us.
I'd be interested then in the comments from anyone that watched the Adelaide vs WSW game. IMHO WSW received the worst calls I've seen in several seasons. The second yellow to Cornthwaite, a pen decision against them, and failure to award a penalty to them - all critical calls, all highly debatable (again IMHO) and each one going against the 'FFA favourite'. If it is true that ref's are biased toward the larger clubs, then each of those decisions would have been different.
No ref display will ever be free of errors (the same way that no player's performance ís ever perfect). I agree that the standard of refereeing is poor and needs to improve, but decisions like those in the Adelaide WSW game give the lie to accusations of conscious bias. They were just poor decisions, nothing more and nothing less.
1 game. Am I reading that right? No wayDisciplinary and Ethics Committee Hearing: Avram Papadopoulos
The Football Federation Australia (FFA) independent Disciplinary & Ethics Committee comprising John Marshall SC (Chair), Anthony Lo Surdo SC and Robert Wheatley (the Committee) convened to consider an incident referred to it, which arose in or around the 76th minute of Brisbane Roar FC’s Round 8 Hyundai A-League 2017/18 Match against Sydney FC on Saturday, 25 November 2017.
The incident involved Avram Papadopoulos (the Player) of Brisbane Roar FC.
The matter was referred to the Committee by the independent Match Review Panel (MRP).
The MRP had jurisdiction to consider the incident as the Player was issued with a direct red card in the match.
The MRP, having reviewed the incident at a hearing on Monday, 27 November 2017, determined that on the basis of the evidence reviewed the Player had committed the offence of “Spitting at a player” (Offence).
The MRP issued a Disciplinary Notice to the Player and referred the incident to the Committee for hearing as to whether the Offence had been committed, and if so, what sanction should be imposed.
The Committee has reserved their determination.
As Papadopoulos was issued with a direct red card, Papadopoulos must serve a match suspension of at least one match and therefore he is ineligible to play in Brisbane Roar FC’s Hyundai A-League Round 9 match against the Western Sydney Wanderers FC on Saturday, 2 December 2017.

Correct, the Fox pundits were giving it to them after last nights display, changing coaches during the season is always a gamble and that’s 3 losses from 3 for Gombau. Players not trying for some reason.Always wondered about "FFA favouritism" and it's impact. I think the biggest power of influence/soft power on the refs has likely always come from FOX and their pundits 'in group'. Powerful bunch of ex socceroo glitterati strutting around... And once WSW lost their in crowd ex socceroo coach they became much more on the nose...and now they can't get a whistle to go their way... funny that.
Yep scum blew it. The penalty changed the game. City were more likely to fight themselves then score priorAlways a pleasure to watch the Scum lose one they should have comfortably won, they had at least 4 genuine chances in the first half hour only to be stopped by some very good keeping then City grew into the game and ultimately taking all points at the end.
Now for us to win and it’s a good round.
fielding reinforced his standing as the worst ref in the A league ,in this gameWSW look toothless. The constant coaching changes and now Gombau’s new System has them lost. Also they don’t look to be the players for the system.
Only one attacker on the bench cost them as well. Riera is class and his injury will hurt till his back
