ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

New coach - now we know

Amazing there's next to no rumours with any substance yet.

It's clear many, including myself, are hoping for Been Cahn.

Abbas appears to have the goods but we really only have a partial academy season to go off.

It's otherwise hard to picture who else has the right mixture of ingredients. Going maybe Monty and Serg with their recruiting genius left us with some suggestions

So a good chance they'll give him the nod for a while then to see how he goes? I do get the impression our goal is to develop both players and coaches via our academy so it might very well be what they do

I would still like to see Hutch given the chance, Mariners through and through and has worked under some good coaches thus far.

If we could get Cahn in as his assistant with a view to taking over when Hutch moves on, that would provide a solid plan for the foreseeable future too.

No thanks. Never had a winning record as a manager. Just don't think he's got it

I'd be more inclined for Cahn to lead and Hutch to assist, with Hutch stepping up in 2-3 years (hopefully)

Hutch is a really fantastic trainer (I have first hand experience of this, and Ange brought him to Yokohama for that purpose), but maybe he doesn't quite have what it takes for all the other stuff like leading strategy, man management, recruiting etc

I'd like to see him involved with the club but maybe as number two - or the academy if Saad is promoted.

Nah I'm pretty sure the Moon rumours were dashed
Thank christ. But the amount of candidates if not *vomits* Moon or Cahn seems a bit slim and the lack of other rumours seems a bit strange.

Just a bit over a month until the A Liga season starts and under a week until the first AFC cup game. Getting a little anxious to know
