ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

If we had a big downpour in a game the game would have to be abandoned - which should not happen you cant play with sheets of water across the field.

Do you reckon it would fix this?

Qualified engineer and surveyor started work in a council nearly 30 years ago, only with council a little while then with state gov and then federal government worked on projects all over NSW and up into QLD.

If your referring to the Australia V Qatar match it definately looked much worse. If i recall correctly they delayed the game by about 40mins and let it drain and rolled it whilst everyone looked for shelter in the stadium bar which wasnt all that bad.Harsulas_SFC said:kevrenor said:masmariner said:Whats the go with Bluetongue cant they have a slight slope on the pitch for runoff and have some drainage put in thats works it is a disgrace.

Suncorp looked a lot worse than that just 40 minutes before a game and it managed to go ahead.
Jaza_SFC said:I remember in the finals v.s. QLD a few years ago it belted down (electrical storm) for 40mins pre-game. Suncorp was utterly drenched. A tad worse than the above pic.
There was a 45min delay and teh game was played on the night. Proper drainage there.
The water pooling in BT is from a reliance on a sub soil drainage system not able to cope because it's badly in need of major maintenance or very expensive upgrade. Possibly caused by too may occasions of many hundreds of tons of rubbish non draining clay based soils being trucked in for bike shows ect. It could even be sub surface drainage damage. I don't know. But it's not because it doesn't have enough pitch, as that was the intention of the design. Pitch is now resisted because of the modern wish for a ball playing surface with little to zero bias inside the playing boundaries with a reliance on modern subsoil drainage technology and high volume extraction.masmariner said:dru said:Just out of curiosity masmariner and Harsulas what background in drainage do you guys have?
