ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Villa will vanish before CCM fixture

I guess it was always a gamble - just didn't think I'd lose my dough that quick...

My son was keen to see one of his favourite players, particularly the thrill of him playing us. Now that it was clear that he's truly here and really performing (and expected to be here for 8 more rounds)... just last night I booked our flights to Melbourne for the 16/11/2014 game. Half a day later this:

What shits me is that MCFC, journos like Davutovic, no doubt FFA, have probably known this for some time. Why not share that with dedicated supporters so they can make informed decisions on serious financial commitments

Peacock and Gatt were pissed off beyond all humour last night on twitter - I think this is news to them too and Davutovic would be no different. For MCFC and FFA... who knows?

I just booked 3 nights accomodation in Melbourne, Fri, Sat & Sun... In between the proposed pre-match watering hole and the stadium. I'm planning to make a huge weekend of it with the old girl. Having Villa not playing is a major bummer, but hey, if that's the worst thing that happens to me in my life, then life's pretty sweet! I hope his absence doesn't deter others from making the trip. City still have a pretty shit-hot line up.

Too true, Atomic! I guess my vent was as much to do with the timing of the news with respect to my outlay (and how many years gold membership or how much new kit that equals!)

After all, we're still going to a MARINERS GAME!
And it'll be our first experience of AAMI Park, our first regular season interstate away game...
and the first time flying Tiger :p

Really, it was always, that is always, on the cards that he'd skim in for the PR and get whisked off very soon after from MC 3rd club to their 2nd.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I was keen to see Villa run around in person. Soon as I booked the hotel and train, he pulls the pin...och well, Minotaur books, Melbourne markets and Crown it is then

. We had bought our tickets to the match the day before this news came out (flights and hotel long since booked and paid for, annual leave approved) ... but if we were going to see Villa we would have booked for this week ... we are going to see the Mariners (although seeing both would have been ideal)

. Both the Yellow Army and Official Supporters Club have endorsed this game hoping for a 'Tour of Duty' type attendance for an interstate away game. Although this information may dampen the enthusiasm for some ... there should still be a few down there wearing yellow

. Due to the Mariners always getting the best scheduling  ... the pickings for away games are pretty slim this season. No doubt, we will see some of you in Melbourne :overheadl:
