ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Thanks Wilko

Thanks for everything Wilko, and all the best of luck with your new club. :(

I suspect most will only really appreciate what you did for the club & team when you are not there in the last line for us any more. So many times he saved us by throwing his body in the way when it was needed. Just got better and better every year.

Hopefully this will also lead to you getting more notice for the national team, which you thoroughly deserve.

Yeah
Congrats on the move Wilko.
A very professional player who has been a credit to the club.
I hope that we replace him with a very good player or we could be in serious trouble.
A very underrated and amazingly consitent player, his game stepped up massively alongside Patrick and occasionally he outshone Dutchy which is no mean feat.
If he steps up again overseas then he could well end up playing for Australia one day.
Thanks Wilko you are a champion and a gentleman.

To be totally honest Wilko wasn`t at the top of my list of our best players when I first started to support the Mariners.

However, from the beginning I knew he had something special & as Gull said "he just got better & better".

To me Wilko epitomises the true professional.
He works hard, plays to win,is constantly improving his game,he promotes the game & is gentleman off the field.

In saying that,Wilko has earnt the respect of players, fans administrators & referees. He is an ornament to the game & will be sadly missed in his time away.

One can only hope, that one day he will return, to see out his career with us.

Thanks Alex, you have been a truly inspirational member of the club. You will be sorely missed and I hope the legendary spirit of the Mariners change room continues long after you go. Also hope your getting good money to set you up and that you have a great time OS.

I second all that's been said so far. The Mariners have one of the greatest assets in the league - its team spirit - for which Wilko can be thanked for his integral role in growing and maintaining it as a captain, as a foundation player and as the man he is on and off the pitch.

We'll miss you Alex and are truly happy for you getting the big break you well deserve. Go get 'em son! Can't wait to see you in the national team

The COE should have a walk of fame with outstanding Mariners players given a star similar to those in Hollywood..
Their would be no more fitting a player to be the first recipient than WILKO... :innocent:

Similarly a trophy room or hall where our illustrious players can be glorified would be significant in showing junior players the heights to which Mariner`s players can rise

Thanks Adz,MF,Recky & FP.

There are a few others that deserve stars ie.Matty & Mile to name two but to kick it off with Wilko would be fitting

Does anyone know someone in authority?
