If I've got it right, the various 'Summer 6s' competitions, while a great initiative, are restricted to Under 14s and above.
If so, maybe someone can explain why younger kids, who have the most to gain by honing their skills, are excluded?
1/4 size pitches + 30 minute games + small teams is perfect for 7-13 years, as that's roughly what they are used to in Small Sided Football.
There is all this hot air about 'grass roots' and 'developing players skills at a young age'. What gives?
