ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think our draw is awesome. Obviously very difficult. Obviously long odds to get out of the group. I'm a lot more excited about the World Cup now post Holger. I'm excited to see some pride in the displays of our team of underdogs. I'll be happy if we can give teams a bit of a scare and a shake. I think this draw gives us 1) A great platform to prepare for the Asian Cup & Russia and 2) Great opportunity to display a nothing to lose attitude and experience for young guys for the future.

Spain lost their first game against Switzerland last world cup. You just never know.
It is not impossible to get out of the group.

Provisional schedule:

Chile vs Australia 14/06/14 Cuiba 8am
Australia vs Netherlands 19/06/14 Porto Alegre 2am
Australia vs Spain 24/06/14 Curitiba 2am

First game is a must win, then......some good fortune.

This is the perfect draw for Ange. No pressure, as long as the team don't drop the boat and lose 4-0 every match his job is secure. If we can sneak a lucky win against any of the other opponents in our group we'll be doing well for ourselves. Lets hope our friendlies pre-world cup are against top-top clubs so we can gauge what we can do against top opponents.

Ideal scenario - either Netherlands or Spain clean up with 9 points. The other stumbles to two draws (and obviously loses to the other superpower). We then only need to beat Chile, and if we can't do that, we shouldn't be in the second round.

That said, if we do that, we'll finish second, and almost certainly face Brazil in the second round. If we somehow do that and win against Brazil, I'm dropping a hunjie on us winning the whole thing because f**k it, why not?

The dutch are scarred. They have never beat us. Probably not watched us recently though.

Aussies love the underdog & love to be the underdog. Just the good old fashioned go out & have a crack & show em we ain't shit mentality.

Now who to warm up against? Uruguay/Ecuador Pommies/Belguim/Switzerland
