Asian contingent? Why? are any of them for the future of the Roos? Forget them, their time has passed. Jedinak, Williams and Spiranovic will be the core of our defence for many years. Griffiths maybe worth a shot but thats a massive maybe.

As for youth, Holland = not playing. Troisi = too many players in his position better than him that will be playing at WC 2014. Oar = no point bringing him back for a freindly. Will be there or there abouts when the business starts. Bozanic = youth team commitments. Leckie = where do you play him in the NT right now?

Brosque. Please.
No goals, just back from injury...
So many options in front of him. Ridiculous.
Apparently he impressed Olger when he saw him 5 years ago against Urawa.

Cahill is in the squad??

so he scored a couple of goals in relatively insignificant games meaning
we may have lost to poland etc! doesnt quite equate to best player yet....

on other things DROP BROSQUE! archie in sydney clothing!

Well, another International over and 2 absolutes as always ...

1. There will always be the usual skirmish (indignation)

2. McDonald will not score

Put your house on them every time ...

Alex BROSQUE - got what his season deserved

Tim CAHILL - immense caused havoc all match 7

David CARNEY - one of the most under rated squad players, great runs, and a class finish 7

Jason CULINA - thats the most ive seen him do in a long time, just needs to stop falling over6

Richard GARCIA - a suprise, 7

Mile JEDINAK - seems out of his depth for moments then puts great balls through and all is forgiven, time. 6

Josh KENNEDY cant score with out his hair!!! 6

Harry KEWELL- needs to stop whingeing and start running players! still one of the best out there when on his game, which he wasnt yesterday 4

Scott McDONALD - ive seen enough of this waste of the green and gold jersey 3

Jon McKAIN - MOM most solid defensive effort ive seen in ages 8

Matthew McKAY - give him a few yet he may be good - 6

Jade NORTH - suprisingly good pair up with mckain - 7

Mark SCHWARZER another usual solid performance, nothing truly special needed - 7

Dario VIDOSIC him over scott mac any day needs to be given more than 2 minutes

Luke WILKSHIRE - some milimetre crosses nice flank work, 7

Dont agree with you on Mckain. Thought he gave the ball away way too often and if we repeat that performance on sth american soil we'd loose by 4 or 5. They were not at all up for that and can play much better.

North i think was the better of the 2, good game from him.

As for your comments on Scotty Mac, Im glad you dont pick the team. When he is on the pitch he is one of the hardest workers and has set up a fair few goals working a position which he is not suited to. He should be the number 2 striker in the spot Cahill plays and I feel for him that we just do not have a Mark Viduka available for him to play off. If Dukes was still on the pitch in the green and gold Its a dead cert that McDonald would have scored quite a few by now.

I completely agree with Scottmac. Just amazing how differently people can view the same game. never ceases to amaze me.
Carney - great strike - is still a defensive liability. He did better tahn more recent performances, but virtually every attack they had came through his side again. Centreback pairing defended well overall, but distributed poorly.
Really looking forward to Spiro and Kisnorbo coming back myself.

We were clearly much more fluent when Mcdonald came on.

Vidosic looked great again and I'm sure will continue to be on the starting XI fringe.

When you think of Holman, Emerton to come back in and some of the other youngsters breaking through, we look in decent shape.
Though for mine, it's Leckie I suspect who may well become crucial to our aspirations.
That kid knows where the net is, and put McDonald next to a quick player like this, that draws defenders and opens space - then add Holman or Cahill in behind and i think we'll finally start to wreak some real havoc in Asia.
