ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Vale Ashleigh Connor, former CC Mariners W-League player

"The Illawarra Stingrays are sad to announce the tragic death of First Grade player Ashleigh Connor in a car accident on Appin Road last night.

Ashleigh was a fantastic club member, inspirational player and beautiful person.

She joined the club during 2009 and helped steer it to two First Grade Premierships and Grand Final wins and was a prodigious goal scorer during her career.

The passing of Ashleigh has devastated the club and all the people who have known her during her football career at the Illawarra Stingrays, her former clubs Marconi Stallions and Macarthur Rams along with the NSW Institute of Sport.

Ashleigh was also a member of the Central Coast Mariners W-League team during the 2009 season and would have featured prominently in any W-League outfit in the Illawarra.

Illawarra Stingrays President Rob McKie said ‘Ashleigh will be greatly missed, she was a great talent, dedicated club person and had a cheeky sense of humour that always made her a joy to be around.’

Our condolences go out to her family and friends at this very sad time"

Football NSW also wishes to also put its condolences to the Conner family.

I add my thoughts ... she was a very good and fair player.

On the 11th October 2009 she scored for the Mariners, and then was one of the girls who came to the post-game function at Iguanas.

"
In the 88th minute Vandenburgh went wide on the left - and pumped a cross straight to substitute Ashleigh Connor who volleyed it very sweetly from 25m giving McLaren no chance.."

What a tragedy....

Far too many fatal accidents have occurred on Appin Road.

On behalf of all former Macarthur Rams players & officials we offer our sincere condolences to Ashleigh`s family & friends.
