Remote control artificial cloud to cool spectators at 2022 World Cup?

The potential for catastrophe with this invention is monumental to say the least, as anyone who has a child and a remote control helicopter can testify. But here you go: an artificial cloud powered by solar panels, designed to cool off stadiums during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Yes, one can now literally have a dark cloud following him everywhere, and not be concerned.

Dr Saud Abdul Ghani, head of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Qatar University, unveiled a design and construction of an artificial cloud to shade and cool the open playgrounds to be used in the 2022 World Cup in Doha. He told a local Arabic daily that the project will be executed in collaboration with Qatar Science and Technology Park.

He said the artificial cloud will move by remote control, made of 100 percent light carbonic materials, fueled by four solar-powered engines and it will fly high to protect direct and indirect sun rays to control temperatures at the open playgrounds.
In the U.S. we have similar devices, which we call “actual clouds.” But we were denied the 2022 Cup because we didn’t offer enough bribes: an upset of enormous proportions, considering Chicago hosted the bid.

But who knows what other gadgets Qatar will come up with over the next ten years? It’s like they’ve got Q from the James Bond movies working around the clock. “Oh do pay attention 007, this isn’t an ordinary soccer ball …”
