ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The A-League will be represented by two referees at the World Cup in South Africa ... and they are both from New Zealand.

Breeze was a shoe-in in FIFA terms (not my terms) but missed an important tournament due to doing his soliticitor bar exams. Therefore went down the pecking order.

We've all seen the refereeing standards in the A-League on a regular basis.......there's no way any of these incompetent twats should be anywhere near a WC.

Interesting to note that Matthew Breeze will not be on the panel for the World Cup - the first time there has been no Australian referee at the Cup for a long time.

As the highest rated referee in Asia (for some reason) Breeze was no doubt already thumbing through the rule book and wondering what obscure rules he could pull out, or what interesting interpretations he could employ to bemuse and/or infuriate the fans of various nations. But alas, we will be denied the spectacle.

Could it be that Sepp Blatter is a Mariners fan?

We dont have any refs capable of taking charge of the biggest games on the world stage. Breeze proved that last night.

Sadly, there will be worse refs than him at the WC though

As was said in the other post Breeze was a certainty to go. However, he missed a major FIFA referees training seminar doing his bar exam to become a solicitor. Was always going to struggle after this.

Delovski is streets ahead of all other HAL referees, far better than O'Leary or Hester
I believe (although I could be wrong) that the initial referees' nominations for this World Cup were made before Delovski obtained his FIFA badge.

Could be right.

Note that Hester and O'Leary are the Oceania nominations.

Asia's 4 includes Goh from Singapore (not the excellent Malik). Anyone seen who the others are?

that is right, just pointing out that he is, I think everyone can agree, far ahead of anyone else.  He'll be a shoe-in for the next WC if he is still reffing one would think
