ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I have obtained some photos of a Chunnam Dragons training session that took place last week. They were taken by Chunnam fan Lee Seul-chan.

At least he's still wearing blue and yellow!

Not only have Chunnam got a quality player, they have bought a player with some honesty & integrity about him.
Hopefully Matty can restore some of those qualities into a club that has 4 players charged with match fixing..

When is his first game been looking for a draw but can't find anything
I haven't been able to find a 2012 season draw, but it seems that last season began in the first week of March.

That coincides with the first week of the Asian Champions League, by the way, so I wonder whether the Mariners will have an advantage over the teams whose seasons are just beginning?

My Korean buddy says the K-League season begins in early March.

He also says that the Chunnam Dragons are playing at a town called Gwangju on 15 April, but that's the day that the Mariners supporters' tour grip arrives in Seoul. I guess it would be impossible to get to Gwangju in time to see Matty Simon play.

My Korean spy says that Matt Simon scored for Chunnam in a practice match today! Didn't take him long.

Well, it was only a penalty kick in a game against a team from Kyunghee University, but that's fine by me!

The defensive and offensive skills of Chunnam Dragons last year simply "didn't match."

Defensive power deserved A grade. They gave away 29 goals out of 30 matches. However, offensive strength lacked its power. The team stroke 33 goals last year, staying at the 11th place among all other teams. This is because many offensive players were not able to play in the team last year.
Ji Dong-won(21) left... to Sunderland AFC in the middle of the season, and some players had to participate in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The head coach Jung, Hae Seong gave a big change to the offensive team members. The main players who are likely to be in the three top are mostly changed. You'll see our "new four offensives" that will lead the attack.

Matt Simon(26) from Australia is the front striker. He recorded 28 goal in the 113 matches in Australia's Central Coast Mariners. He got eleven points in the 2008~2009 season, and the same number in 2010~2011 season. He was in the national team of Australia in the 2008 Beijing Olympic, and he has participated two games from A match. He's 188cm tall and is flexible. Simon says "I've heard from Australian players in Korea that Kleague is very strong and tough. I want to show a good play without any big injuries."

I realise this is a translation but in football we have attackers & defenders.
The US has screwed our spelling, let`s not let them screw our football by adopting their terminology. :headbutt:

This site says that Matty has only played 2 matches (full 90 minutes), no goals and 1 yellow :eek:verhead: anyone know anything else regarding him in korea? Its a shame he hasn't had much match time! he was doing so well under GAs guidance too!

EDIT: Just read he's out injured: http://www.goal.com/en/news/808/australia/2012/05/14/3099106/australians-abroad-evertons-cahill-sees-red-on-final-day
