Shanghai Shenhua move for Newcastle Jets midfielder Milligan

Shanghai Shenhua have moved for Newcastle Jets midfielder Mark Milligan.

The Chinese Super League runners-up want to take the Australia international on-loan when the January market opens.

Milligan penned a deal with the Jets last month after failing to land a contract in Europe.

Note: Beijing Guo'an is still trying to sign a contract with Australian player Ryan Grrifths who plays in CSL side Liaoning FC last season

The rumours on tribal football can't always be believed.

But I'm sure with Adelaide's performance in ACL Chinese sides will look to Australia more.
Milligan would be a good option. Relatively cheap internationally capped player.

But the Jets will want to keep him through their joke of an ACL campaign.

I have had a good week, 3 of my most hated players in the HAL might be leaving overseas out of earshot (North, Milligan, Holland)

Where's that c**t Holland going to? Hopefully playing for Kabul United FC in the Afghani League (the other A-League?  ;) ;D ) where the pitch is also a practice minefield.

Sounds like a done deal as well.

Apparently the trip to Holland is more of a medical than a trial.

5 year deal for the c*nt and a nice transfer fee of 6-700k for the Jets.

Don't worry bro we are getting 40 million and 6-700k is how much the whole team and club are worth so they will be cheering:).

The salary cap/teams wages disagrees with you

Wishfully thinking:

Milligan's loan deal allows Shanghai Shenhua to keep him for ACL & then the Scum are drawn into the same Pool as the Shanga's and subsequently plays against his former team & helps knock them out of the Group Stage.

what a disgraceful post  :redcard: :p
how dare you even mention the notion that Jets would need help in getting knocked out at group stage :p :p :p
I am quite confident in their ability (or rather inability) to do that that all by themselves!

my understanding of loan deals is that the player can't play against the club they are contracted too......so Milligan couldn't play against his "former" club....ie the Jets

That is true in the EPL however elsewhere it is usually decided between the 2 clubs.

And how much of the fee for Judas will go back to the club as opposed to reducing Con's loans to the club?

I'll start the bidding at nothing

a few reasons
1) clubs dont want loaned out players doing them over. eg. scoring

2) some clubs make u pay an amount of money if u play their own players against them
eg. madrid stipulating a figure of 500k if Portillo played for a club (Getafe or at osuna???) against them
