    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

    If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

(runs about 13 mins)

Some points I got out of it...

A-League
* JALSC meets tonight
* Lots of talking about hats
* re: $25m loss (to the A-League clubs) they see a formula to take that to viability/sustainability in 18 - 24 months
* A lot is riding on a new TV deal
* An announcement on sponsorship (across the league) will be made in the coming weeks

CCMFC
* CCM is not in advance of any funding and the next payment (of the special distribution fund, annual $1.2 million) is today
* He spoke to Turnbull and there is a signed agreement with the Russians for funding and there is another option available
* Even if the deal doesn't go through, the Mariners will survive
* (repeating) The Russian deal is not dead and there is a "Plan B" in place
* Lyall's family trust holds equity in the club, and Lyall excludes himself from decisions involving the Mariners

Adelaide
* Adelaide is in "great shape" and predicting to be in the black next year

Scum
* Confident of an option rising in the next 72 hours re: investors for Newcastle Jets

West Sydney
* Still holding fan forums
* Announcements coming in the next fortnight on names, colours, logo, etc.
* No discussion with players yet
* Announcement on a coach in the next fortnight
* Lawrie may be involved in some way but not as coach

Thought Gorman was excellent and didn't duck any questions at all.

His thoughts re the Scum came true too so can only be positive about everything else that he said. Of course none of it was reported in the mainstream media but you get used to that.

Had to laugh at the "conflict of interest" question from (...what nationality is...) Les Murray. Surely Lowy has a much bigger conflict of interest as FFA chairman and investor in Sydney?

You mean Les, the man from the FIFA Ethics Committee? Aren't the terms FIFA and ethic mutually exclusive?
