ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Kossie Quits

Seriously how many coachs have quit just after playing the Mariners now?
Coolen, Kossie, Crook, Durakovic...

As I said in the Round 18 thread, you'd have to say the Adelaide performance just lacked pretty much everything, except perhaps for about 10 minutes of the game. I'm not sure who should get the blame for that. Must admit I'm surprised they're blaming Kossie when they've only just dropped down from second place. Or has Kossie simply had a disagreement with them about the way forward? Do they have someone organised already to take his place? Hmmmmm.

According to Ray Gatt, Valkanis has been lined up for next season for a while now.

Seems like Kossie has been rolled from the inside and has decided to walk.

Mate from Melbourne told me Paul Oken will be their coach next season and its an open secret... no idea how good his info is but he has been right on a couple of issues before..

"However, apart from survival, I can see no clear direction. There is no vision. Decision-making at management level is reactive and impulsive at best, and there is no consistency in managerial procedure."

How many clubs can Kossies comment be applied too?

Life at the Mariners isn't all that bad. ;)

I don't remember when Coolen or Durakovic quit, and but Crook went the morning after throwing away a 2-0 lead to Melbourne.

Tongue in cheek really, at no time was it directly due to our results though we did beat each of them just before the coach upped and left or was pushed.
Crooky was a game later but I felt it counted - Syd had won a game then played us for a 7-2 drubbing. After not being able to redeem the next week he resigned.
For the record it was clear none of these coaches leaving had anything to do with the results in their final games, except perhaps as the straw on the camels back. It's just amusing that at a glance 4 times in 2 years the Mariners have looked like coach-killers

Kossie rumoured to be in line for the Brisbane job at the end of the season according to the SMH.

Would they be that stupid? I hope so.

I'd like to see Kossie go overseas, learn something new and come back in two years so he can add value to the game again.
Not a bad guy just lacking creativity maybe!

Dribbling out on twitter of a blow up between him and Valkanis after the game on Friday.

According to gossip, Kosminacfound out that Valkanis was offered the job and words were had....
