ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

West Ham, Blackburn and Ipswich want 16-year-old Australian striker Joe
Gibbs from Manly United. (Daily Star)

Anybody heard of this kid before - or is it just the Star being the Star?

My son knows him from school (Gosford) and says he's the best player he's ever seen (slight exaggeration?).

He played with my 2 younger lads at Gosford when he was quite young but I think at the age of about 11 he went to play in the U13's coasties? Played in a grade above his age for some time and ended up at Manly. Kid always had talent and comes from a well rounded family so his head is screwed on and feet firmly planted.

Good luck to him in the trials he has won from the Lucas Neill award, lets hope it pays off.

wow
this kid is in my sister's year + used to go to school with him.

I remember him in year 7, he made u15s team. I didnt rate him then as anything excpetional (good but not exceptional).
But 3 years = a long time in football and who knows he may have gotten better (and mind you I am not saying he wasnt good, just that he wasnt Chris Payne level)

the kid sounds good but the thing is if you can't make it in the U15 when your in yr 7 you should pursue something else.
