ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You need to click onto the link to read what it's about.

From the link.

Mr Cleansheets is his third novel and blends his love of football with his natural inclination for making up bollocks.

He lives on the Central Coast of NSW with his gorgeous wife Karen, supports the Socceroos, Gunners and Mariners, but accepts that it is not entirely unreasonable for readers of Mr Cleansheets to follow other clubs . . .

Hi there guys

Just got back from 2 weeks in Tassie so didn't know you were talking about me.

Mariners fan from the start (living, playing and coaching in Avoca) but I'll probably piss some of you guys off when I say that, above all, I'm a fan of the league. I'm desperate for the A-league to do well and grow, for the sake of Australian football.

Mr Cleansheets is my third novel (2nd published novel) but it's the first one that (I believe) will be a success. I'm happy to answer any questions about it, for those who might be interested (at this early stage).

If you want to know my views on Australian football, you might also check out volume 2 of the Das Libero site attached to the Vulgar Press site.

P.S. I know you're not supposed to be touting commercial enterprises on these pages, so I hope no-one thinks that's what I'm doing.

P.P.S. I can't say anything just yet, but I hope shortly to have a major announcement about the launch of Mr Cleansheets (he says, once again flouting the rules about touting).

i've read the first few chapters and it's a bloody good read. if you're into stories with a good mix of violence, sex and humour, well it's got all that. better still, it's all about football.

have a read of the first chapter at this link    www.vulgar.com.au/cleansheets.html

Was delighted to see a mention in the Sydney Morning Herald (Spectrum) today of Mr Cleansheets as a book to look out for in 2010.

Those who have already had a look at the publisher's website will have noted that the cover shot was taken at Bluetongue (despite the photoshopped signage). The publisher wants another picky for the back cover taken from the back - this time with a crowd. I'm wary of breaking the rules regarding the touting of commercial enterprises, but there's likely to be a photo taken during a Mariners game where I'll want a bunch of guys behind DV's goal. No doubt there'll be more photoshopping to remove anything identifiable, but if anyone wants the back of their head on a book cover, make sure you're there. I'll let you know when but probably one of the next two home games...maybe even New Years.

Fur immer treu? Ausgezeichnet!

That's exactly the kind of shot we want, but with the keeper much closer, so I'm guessing the camera will need to be in approximately row 10 (or row J perhaps).

Have to say that if your going to take it now rather than use an old shot, the bay is more than likely to be empty. But hey, lets be optimistic and predict a sell out for NYE!

........Her fist smacked into my mouth and I found myself falling arse backwards for the second time that day. In the dreamy half-light, I never saw it coming.

Dear Marinators

Once again I'm hoping that the powers that be will not regard this post as in breach of the rules regarding commercial touting. (And it's not really, it's an invitation.)

My book Mr Cleansheets will be launched by Lawrie McKinna on 21 April. I was intending to give an open invitation to Marinators to the launch, but it looks like numbers will be limited...which means that I can only offer 5 double invitations, and those will go to the first 5 people who email me at mrcleansheets@hotmail.com who can make it on the night.
