Despite the crap callers, the ads the late replays, the little promotion the Olyroos stilled pulled over 2 million. Ch 7, must have some people cheering and others going OMG it cannot be true ............ football rates .........

Noboby screws football like 7, ............ 7's top brass must be hoping we get knocked out.

These tossers at CH 7 don't deserve ratings like that.

The commentary was so bad the other night I watched it with the sound turned down because it was giving me the shits!

And don't get me started on the f**kin ads!

Read it and weep Gallop, read it and weep.

Screwed over by 7, coached by a tosswit and with Zadshite and TS, we still rated >2m.

Not intended to burst a bubble midfielder, but the ratings you show are a total of all of the "prime time D2" olympics telecast viewing, (6.30pm - 2am)  not only the olyroos match. Though it would be nice to have that number.

It included http://au.tv.yahoo.com/tv-guide/?hour=21&min=25&date=10&mon=08&year=2008
Rowing (Women's Light Weight: Double Skull/Quad Skull/Eight, Men's Light Weight: Double Scull/Light Weight Four/Quad Skull/Eight), Football (Men's: Australia vs Argentina), Swimming (Women's 100m Backstroke, Men's 200m Freestyle, Women's 100 m Breaststroke, Men's 100m Backstroke, Women's 400m Freestyle, Men's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay), Gymnastics (Women's). Hockey (Women's: Australia vs Korea), Basketball (Men's: Australia vs Qualifier, USA vs China), Boxing (Men's Welter Weight 69kg, Men's Light Welter Weight 64kg).

We stood alone for ratings in the serbia match last thursday which gives a better indication. Still not too bad.

curious that match was delayed so many people watched online streams so that number would have been far greater if it were telecast live

i don't think *that* many people know how to find streams, let alone actually bothering to watch a grainy stream with arabic or chinese commentary.

itd be a few but LIVE coverage always rates better than delayed plus the time of night it was shown was too late for kids / people needing to get up early for work etc

Anyway of kinding out the Olyroo number as I tho it was the 2.0983 number so would be nice to know the number and tell Soccer Screwing 7 ......... there is a life other than AFL ........ and we do remember the email

shows that more people are watching the olympics generally than the olyroos in particular. it's good for the true fans, but the neutrals are less likely to be exposed to the game on SBS.

in other words, the thread title is misleading: it should be 'because of 7, the olyroos pull 2 mill'.
