Coast Mariners will officially get behind the Qantas Socceroos as they
prepare for this year's FIFA World Cup in South Africa, by supporting the
Hyundai Goodwill Ball roadshow, as it makes its only stop in New South
Wales.
The giant inflatable ball, measuring 4 metres in diameter and one of 32
making their way around the world to every country represented at June and
July's showpiece in South Africa, will be on show at Westfield Tuggerah next
Thursday, 13 May between 3:30pm and 9pm.
Featured on Centre Court, fans will have the opportunity to sign the massive
football, which is expected to display the signatures and well wishes of
more than 10,000 Aussie fans by the time it reaches South Africa.
Mariners and Qantas Socceroos stars Danny Vukovic and Matt Simon, along with
Mariners head coach and Qantas Socceroos assistant coach Graham Arnold will
also make a special appearance at the exciting event.
Vukovic, Simon and Arnold will be on site between 3:30pm and 5:00pm, and
will add their three signatures to the thousands of Australians already to
have pledged their support.
The trio will also sign autographs, take part in the promotional activities
associated with the event, and will be available for media interviews.
The Hyundai Goodwill Ball will visit five Westfield centres across Australia
before making a final stop at Westfield Tuggerah on Thursday, 13 May 2010.
The Australian Goodwill ball will then travel with the Socceroos to South
Africa, and will be positioned alongside the balls of other 2010 FIFA World
Cup qualifying nations.
"The Hyundai Goodwill Ball Tour is a fantastic opportunity for Socceroo
supporters, and Aussies to be a part of the 2010 FIFA World Cup magic, and
to show our team our pride and how much we believe in them," said Hyundai
Motor Company Australia's Marketing Director Oliver Mann.
