Wow. Great to see Harry grow some kahunas and finally get rid of him. I always wondered how Harry put up with Bernie for so long. It seemed to me in some if not the majority of situations Bernie was the creator of friction between Harry and the sporting public. Mind you I am sure that Harry has a lot to be thankful for in having Bernie as a manager. I guess that has now been borne out by the machinations which have gone on at MV over the last few weeks. Now that Bernie does not have Harry as his main man will it be a case of the Emperor has no clothes and he will finally disappear out of everyone's way.

I find the assumption that Harry himself isn't an utter cock interested only in money to be curious.
Many sins can be forgiven when someone pulls on the nation's colours and performs - I'm sure you all cheered like mad bastards when Kevin Muscat scored from the spot against Uruguay in 2001 in spite of what he'd done to Christophe Dugarry only the previous week.
Similarly because Harry has turned it on so many times for his country and is now such a popular player *out there* as well as among football lovers, perhaps we're willing to forget that for all of Bernie's craziness and bullshit, Harry's got to have kept looking in the bank book, smiling, and then signing on with the bloke for another term.
Harry would have earned a lot more respect from me had he sacked Mandic when there were still deals to do, not when he's signed on for probably his last professional contract.
