Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

HAL Round 7

Round 7 of the A-League starts in Adelaide this weekend when the Reds host the Mariners in potentially the game of the season so far. Both teams come off comfortable wins last start and the winner of this fixture will reach the top of the table for at least a night. Vidmar has the added pressure of Champions League football mid-week following this clash and could play with his squad. Whilst the Mariners are getting back to full strenght and scoring a lot of goals early in the season. Kick-off Friday 8pm EST, NYL-5.15 EST.

Game 2- The 2 semi finalist from last season renew their rivally this weekend when Sydney FC host Queensland. Both teams showed a reversal in form in Round 6 with Sydney losing to the last place Wellington side whilst the QLD Roar continued there great away form in defeating Melbourne. Always a lack of goals in this fixture and cannot see this changing this weekend, but remembering the Roar are dangerous away from home. Kick- off Saturday 7pm  EST, NYL- 4.15 EST

Game 3- The competition leaders the Melbourne Victory host the out of sorts Perth Glory at the Telstra Dome. Melbourne have made there lives more difficult in recent weeks with receiving 3 red cards. With Archie Thompson causing havoc for all teams. Whilst Perth Glory have been woeful. They leak goals, the midfield is non-existant and long balls to Dadi dont work all the time. Perth also need to sort out the goalkeeping situation and young Velaphi deserving of his chance. Kick-off Sunday 4pm EDST, NYL Saturday 5pm EST.

Game 4- Sees the former Champions in the Newcastle Jets playing last start winners the Wellington Phoenix at EAS. The big question will be whether GVE can field a team with the squad having so many injuries to key players. Newcastle are awlful this season and they are not playing the same style of football which saw them win the Grand Final last season. Wellington played with a lot more spirit last week and fully deserved their victory. Kick-off Monday 3pm EDST.

Tips- Bulldogmariner
Central Coast- Will be a quality fixture but the way the Mariners are playing they win
Draw- Always a tough game with minimum goals see no different here
Melbourne- They win and just not hoping it becomes a cricket score at the Dome.
Wellington- This will be 3 big points for Herbert. Jets are in Turmoil.

I think Sydney can get past Queensland a loss to Wellington will motivate FC and I don't think Queensland were all that flash, they still couldn't hit the side of a stationary bus.

As for your other predictions I agree for sure. The exciting thing about CCM V AU is that it's the best attack v the best defence, so it should be fun to watch.

You never know with Melbourne, I'm sure there'll be another red card so that'll hold the score in check!

Adelaide could play a 2nd string team. Aswell from the sun today, the mariners still think there is a slight chance of the game being rescheduled to give adelaide time for ACL. I cant see it being done, but can see adelaide resting some players.

FFA have been prone to late decisions before, remember the club world championships, Sydney were practically on a plane to Adelaide before being told the game was moved to Gosford. Still I don't think they'll move this one.

"Adelaide United FC has respected Football Federation Australia's (FFA)
decision not to have two of the club's Hyundai A-League fixtures changed
as it progresses through the AFC Champions League"

Jesus cant believe you get information from the sun. It was written a week ago. They would have no idea and it is poor reporting to even suggest such rubbish. FFA said this weeks game would be not changed on the weekend. The game they are looking to change is in November if Adelaide make the Final. But FFA said no. I still think that is open to more debate.

I think that the final is still over 2 legs this year?? If so, for the sake of the HAL, they should be given every chance and, whilst inconvenient, games should be moved to give them ther best shot at it.

Well the herald/ twg/ 442 are all reporting the FFA's decision today, so surely was not that inaccurate?

Does Perth have any defenders?

Its part of Mitchells plan to rid the world of the worst strip ever seen. Buy shit footballers, keep playing them even when you have better juniors.
