ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So Cockerill - as a member of the media - is complaining that there was no media outcry over government largesse to other codes. :headbutt: :headbutt:

This is an excellent article IMO .... what I love the most is listening to some rusted on folk from other codes...

An example ... a RL mate of mine cannot see that the 60 to 100 pages a week in the dailies does not help RL... and he often tells me the A-League is falling over ... he says look at your crowds...

Lets hope the next media deal gets us some real serious dollars and from a FTA as well so they have an interest in promoting football...

That`s a great article.

FOOTBALL has been the poor relation to afl & nrl for too long.

I remember when channel 7 bought the rights for $11m & only played the International games.

If they don`t get a huge TV deal next time around the FFA should seek funding to set up their own channel...

At the FFDU forum in January Seb Hassett made it clear that the ideas and wants of football writers and their editors are not always aligned.

Football writers tend to be fans too - they might write the story but it doesn't mean their editor will run it.
