ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I was looking for something else, and found that FFA are now publishing their financials on their website - they have reports for FYs 2008/9 - 20014/15: http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/about/financial-reports/1501wnyya6qsr125xfjm43azsj

Thought peeps might be interested - especially @midfielder and @FFC Mariner?
Would be great if the Mariners released these too though I can understand some concerns from a privacy point of view. Would give the fans a real understanding of where their and others' money goes in a football club.

The difference I suppose is that the Mariners are privately held whilst the FFA is a membership based organisation (with the A-League clubs and member federations as its membership, and the member feds in turn have their own members etc.). The members all the way down have a stake in the FFA so there's a stronger argument for transparency and whilst there are commercial sentitivities etc., there's no real argument for privacy.

In the Mariners' case, there are docs that will be available through ASIC, (search here for CENTRAL COAST MARINERS FC PTY LTD if you're particularly interested) but as they're a privately held company they're not obliged to produce financials to the public in the same way that a public company would or a membership-based organisation should.
