I have been watch Dadi since the start i think he is a good player i would love to see him traded for Sasho, or Nick.

What people's thoughs on the "dadi" of perth :p

Talk To Me - Dadi    PERTH Glory hitman Eugene Dadi wants to stay on in the A-League...but his club won't talk to him yet about extending his contract into next season.
The 35-year old French/Ivory Coast star has set the league alight this year after finally arriving at Glory following a delayed start to his Australian career.

He was due to join the club last year but transfer problems prevented his arrival - but since joining Perth he quickly established himself as the number two striker in the league.

He's already notched up eight strikes to his name - just one behind leading hitman Shane Smeltz and equal with his junior team-mate Nikita Rukavytsya.

The pineapple express has proved a huge hit with fans for his talent in front of goal combining with charisma - and his distinctive hairstyle.

But so far his pleas for a new contract for next year have been stonewalled by Glory.

Now he's warned he may look elsewhere if Perth don't make him an offer.

"I love it in Australia and I love the A-League," he said today. "I want to stay and I want a new contract but so far I've heard nothing.

"I want to start talking sooner rather than later. Sooner is better."

He added: "I'm happy with my situation that I seem to be the first overseas striker at the club to be reasonably good.

"But we will see what the club wants to do. If Perth Glory don't want me then I could see myself at another club in Australia. There are other possibilities.

"For the moment though I am committed to the club until the end of my contract."

Dadi has settled well into the Australian way of life since arriving at Perth from Israeli club Hapoel Acre which failed to release him in time to join Glory last season.

The 186cm star is enjoying his richest vein of form since his days at Tranmere Rovers when he scored 28 goals from 86 appearances between 2003 and 2005.

With eight goals already this season, Dadi looks like he still has plenty more to come and is at the centre of Perth's attack now.

"At first I didn't think I could come to Australia and be so far away from Europe," he admitted today.

"But now I'm here it's great and I wish I'd come here earlier. I'm really enjoying the A-League."

He conceded Perth's second bottom league position has been the lowpoint of his experience Down Under.

"I"m disappointed and frustrated by this season," he said. "I expected the team to do better, but it's not over yet.

"But whatever happens, I'm hoping to extend my stay in Australia at the end of my contract with Perth.

"I just want to do the best I can for Perth and talk about things later."

Glory coach Dave Mitchell said the club would wait until closer to the end of the season before beginning talks on extending Dadi's contract.

Wow...I just came here to start a Dadi thread. To see this was freaky!!!

Really interesting article in the Evening Express from Scotland. Dadi wants to return to Aberbeen but he really rates the A-League standard and encourages people to come here

http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/988046

FORMER Don Eugene Dadi today revealed hes dreaming of a dramatic return to Pittodrie.

The powerful striker is currently starring in Australias A League with Perth Glory, but his heart still lies thousands of miles away back in the North-east of Scotland.

Dadi, now 35, was something of a cult hero during Ebbe Skovdahls turbulent time at the helm.

Now the Ivory Coast hitman is determined to fulfil his dream of playing for Aberdeen again and even phoned Jimmy Calderwood to let him know of his grand plan.

I would love the chance to play for Aberdeen again, because that part of my career is incomplete, said Dadi.

If the opportunity arose to return, I wouldnt need to think about it.

I phoned Jimmy Calderwood a few years ago to let him know I wanted to come back, but at the time he was quite happy with his squad.

But he knows I have the desire to wear the red shirt again, and I intend to phone him soon.

Im under contract with Perth until March, but our season ends in January so it would be possible for me to go back there on loan for the rest of the Scottish season.

I want to come back to Australia again but the season doesnt kick off again until later in the year, so Id be free to move back to Scotland for a while, and it would be a real honour to be able to play at Pittodrie again.

The spell I had with Aberdeen is one of the most enjoyable periods of my career because I was so well received by the fans and it would be fantastic to return.

I have been lucky enough to have played for two clubs with fantastic European pedigrees Aberdeen and Nottingham Forest and I would relish the chance to return to Aberdeen.

Dadi reckons he could bolster Calderwoods strikeforce and help further develop players like Lee Miller and Darren Mackie who have been spearheading the Reds attack.

Dadi, who joined Livingston after leaving Aberdeen, has special memories of his time in the north and will always be remembered for his stunning display when Skovdahls young charges beat Celtic 2-0 at home in December 2001.

Bobby Petta came off the bench for the Bhoys in that match and coincidentally Dadis Perth side face Pettas Sydney side on Sunday.

Dadi added: The Aberdeen squad was very young when I was there but we had a great spirit as we used to socialise together and that seemed to make a difference during matches.

But the biggest thing for me was the fans who were just fantastic and I havent found the same sort of relationship with the supporters at any other club Ive played for, so Aberdeen still holds a special place in my heart.

The weather might not be as good as it is in Australia but I really miss the city and still have lots of friends there.

And Ill never forget that match against Celtic and coming up against my friend Bobo Balde.

The games against the Old Firm were always special occasions and it was great to beat Celtic at Pittodrie.

Although Dadi hankers after a Dons return he feels settled in Perth even though he only arrived in May to add more firepower to Dave Mitchells side after a spell in Israel.

The big forward is now married to Joana and they have a two-year-old son, Paco. His family all love the Aussie lifestyle.

Thats why he has urged more former SPL players to give things a try Down Under.

If my contract is extended with Perth or I got the chance to go somewhere else in Australia I would love to finish my career out here.

Im doing quite well, I have scored three goals in the last two games and I am only one goal behind the top scorer after scoring eight.

It would be good to extend my stay in Australia especially as the standard is very good for such a new league.

More and more players are trying it out here and the television coverage is huge, so its generating more publicity.

The facilities are also impressive and I would urge anyone to give it a go.

I had the chance to move to Australia a few years ago but couldnt see myself so far away from Europe but now I wonder why I didnt do it earlier.

Things are going really well and Id happily endorse Australia to anyone.

Interesting how at Nottingham Forest, despite playing only a handful of games, he was rated by many fans as one of their worst ever. The peak of his career came at Tranmere, at least until now with Perth.

i think hes good but nothing compared to our striker combination, rukavystya would be a coup,
but probably like ponno said, no really space, especially if elrich c omes back to mids firing.

I cant choose any of the options in the poll, because in the HAL you are not allowed to buy a player from another team, so there should be an option that is just "yes"
