Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How good as Clarky been at getting down the right wing in the past 2 games and putting in some lovely balls, including the cross for Aloisi's goal. He was my MOM last night, maybe Pim's too  ;)

Yeah fully agree. Its a shame that he has to spend the last part of his career mostly on the bench, When Boogs comes back he will surely sit and wait for another injury. He is a great coastie and a great footballer. Its a wonder why for what he asks for money wise that another team has not snapped him up, *Looks at wellington*

he's earnt a starting spot for the moment i suspect. he won a lot of ball last night, and played some excellent balls in too.

he actually did on the right what heff is meant to do on the left. all the while heff was running around a bit, trapping the ball onto opponents' feet, getting caught out of position...

i was watching the game at the club last night, and turned to the bloke sitting at the table with me and said, "for an old bloke like Clarke, he better watch out, or he'll get a call up for the socceroos the way he's playing ". Turns out it was Clarkey's dad i was talking to.. champion fellow he was too.

It was refreshing to see those quality balls being sent into the box last night.

Clarky was here, there and every bloody where.

I said last week that we needed a RB. We have found one. Awesome game.

The other position I wanted was AM. Please stay fit Tommy. I was also happy Hutch played well as LM and should have had a couple but for lucky deflections and our own players not seeing him when he was free.

I don't know if you are aware, but Clarkey also is the conditioning guy for the Mariners, and their sports scientist. So while his declared income under the salary cap as a player may be rumoured to be low, I bet he's getting enough money from his off field jobs.

And he has such lovely hair too. (That was for Grunta) ;D

And he gets to hang out with that super hot fitness chick, * Drools *
OKAY so maybe life on the mariners bench is not so bad for Clarky.

I think that was Clarkes best game ever in a Yellow shirt.
Going forward he was a threat and defensively very sound.
Take into consideration Boogs form thus far you would stil pick him over Clarkey IMO.

I'd take out Viddy for Boogs personally.

Unless we decide to move Wilko out to RB, I think we'll continue to struggle there with Boogs or Viddy.

Yep me too!  And to think I was going to sack him in 2005.

Andy, I think you need Wilko in the centre of defence.

Yeah exactly.

Boogs and Viddy will be too slow and would get caught out a fair bit by pacy attacks.

Plus, Wilko would be better as captain, to be in a central position.

Worst Ears in Football

i'm sure that'll break his heart, overshadowing his joy at striking millimetre perfect crosses for aloisi to put away...
