ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hey all,

I know it's been a bit quiet on the development front for a long time - life has a way of pulling me in different directions. But I wanted to share a quick update on where things stand and give you a sneak peek at the new home page design I'm working on.

As some of you know, we're currently running the site on XenForo, a commercial platform that has served us well for many years. However, I've found it increasingly restrictive when it comes to adding new features and making custom changes. That's why I'm looking at a migration to Flarum, an open-source forum platform that will give us much more flexibility. With Flarum, I'll be able to develop custom extensions tailored specifically for our community, and maybe even offer these to other communities in the future.

Now, about the design—it's still a work in progress and needs some refining, but I wanted to share it with you all to get your thoughts on the direction I'm taking. There are some placeholders like menu items and stuff but it's got the general idea. Check out the screenshot below and let me know what you think!

Looking forward to your feedback and hoping to bring more updates soon.

Cheers!

Looks very snazzy and might help some the lesser visited sections of the forum get more attention.

Yeah I think with the way we have been using the forum for quite a while now, most of the posts go into the Central Coast Mariners bit, I think a lot of people only read that section too, so the idea is to hopefully get things categorised a bit better for people - and search engines ;) - to find stuff.
