My team:
                          Covic
    Jamieson  Moore(C)  Vargas  Cole
                        Musialik
        Dodd                            Jedi
                        Adrian.C
              Simon              Archie.T
                        Bench
        Galekovic Ognenovski Holland Brosque

Alot of young faces but i good team.
Defence= Jamieson is a good attack down the left side really helps Cassio down the left side i'd put heff in i still think he is the best in the league but he is only just come back.
Cole great player set plays are amazing and the free kicks one of the best in the league. Been abit down on form because at the start of the year he was going off with his free kicks and passes.
Vargas in in the form of his life played most minutes in the league and doesnt let in many goals cotrols his line which could clash with moore but there grown men they can sort it out.
Moore(C) atm is in the best player in the HAL and for a defend is amazing he is comander and chief of the socceroos.

Midfield=  Musialik has the best vision in the league and even though he has played for 2 of the biggest sh@t holes in the league he is the perfect player to hold down the midfield if him dodd and Mile could make the best combo in Asia.
Dodd has the nak no opening up the defence with his runs and often scores he is the man at Adle he can defend and i would love him to be on the wing and do a angled and if Musialik can pick him out or even Jedi put him though it could give the defence head ackes all game.
Jedi is the best midfielder in the league atm i would love him to attack abit more though his long shot is the deadlyest in the league, his plasses are great and he always look dangerious when he brings the ball forward. He always steals about 5 ball a game he is just at the top of his game and is still young.
Adrian.C is always dangerious when he has the ball at his feet i love watching his feet when he beats a player hold the ball go a great shot great attacking though ball should have more goals his season but has been the reason i think we score so many goal this season.

Attacker=Simon is the hardest working player and atm scores at will he deserves the cap lets hope he gets it and can show Asia  what we already know how good he really is. He will play for them eventually so why not now?
Archie.T  is a great player fast alway puts them away. Can crack the defence with or with out the ball which could put Simon in to a 1 on 1 with the  Keeper and we all no how good Simon is in that situation.
                                                        Bench
Galekovic wanted to put Danny in but i think he killed his chances of a bench spot with his acts on the feild on the weekend.
Ognenovski is in great form atm
Holland even though he is scum does really well in a shiet team prob because he is from the coast ;)
Brosque is a live spark and if the team gets tired he would be the man to spark the team back up and in goals scoreing mode.

The formation
I picked it because it a attacking one but can easily be a defencive one with Musialik attacking vision Dodds attacking flare and jedi's amazing shots and Adrian though balls its the best midfield formation this would be the best formation for the this team.
Ps any spelling or grammer stuffs up sorry i couldnt be bother to read it again.

It will be interesting to see how this evolves over the next month. There is a lot of football to be played between now and January 28. My team for now is:

        Covic
North Moore Og Jamieson
      Jedi    Musialik
Dodd                Caceres
      Archie
          Macallister

Bench: Vukovic, Vargas, McKain, Simon, Rukavytsya

I think out of that, Covic, Moore, Jedi, Musialik, and Dodd are the certain starters if fit. The rest are maybes and I've left my bench short of players - it needs a couple of attacking midfielders - we have a horrible dearth of number 10 type players in the A-League.

The other players who I see could come into contention are: Galekovic, Heffernan, Milligan, Costanzo, Coyne, T. Elrich, Tiatto, Corica, Minniecon, Bridge and Brosque, depending on form from here on.

I really think McKain and Jamie Coyne have been at the heart of Perth and Wellington's comebacks, as much as Ruka and Smeltz.

My squad and my possible replacements are highly geared towards experience over youth and potential in any close calls, with the exception of maybe Vukovic who I think would benefit from a sit on the bench over there.

My first XI at the moment has Sasa for his aerial ability against the little Indonesians as well as his combination with Jamieson and his long left-to-right diagonal pass to Dodd. If Jade North goes overseas and can't play, I'd go with Milligan or Coyne at right back.

Archie knows where the goal is and has matured into a good deep lying playmaker as well as finisher. He can switch around with Caceres, who is the best number 10 in the comp at the moment and can run at and go past players. The narrowness on the left is made up by Jamieson's ability to get up and down which has been incredible at the CWC. He's had two man of the match games over there for Adelaide and Heff will find it tough to get him out.

In central midfield Mile and Stu are the perfect combination of ball-winning and distribution. Stu has the experience of the Olympics under his belt where he was one of our best, and I'd like to see him sit deepest to free up Mile to get forward with shots or get in the box for crosses. Musialik will be Grella and Mile will be Culina, in other words.

And Macallister, well he's just in great form, his touch is superb and he wins more than half of his headers. It's not his main strength, but he can find the net given the opportunity as well. There's no better man in the league to play target man.

No doubt this will change over the next couple of weeks!

                  Galekovic
Bojic      Moore    Ognevski      Heff
                    Jedi
      Dodd                Caceres
          Simon        Thompson
                  Macca

but i could see him goin
                  Covic
North  Milligan  Moore  Jamieson
              Musalik  Jedi
      Dodd              Cole
            Simon    AT

Assuming no-one is out injured I would go:

                                                  Vukovic

                      Ognenovski          Moore        Costanzo

                                        Jedinak        Musialik

                          Dodd                Caceras                    Jamieson

                                              McAllister            Ruky

Bench: Galekovic, North, Vargas, Corica, Simon

Danny gets the nod purely because im biased lol...nah mostly because I believe he is the future #1 for Australia, and its about time he gets some experience. I chose to play a back 3 as opposed to a back 4 because I dont think Indonesia will pose much of a threat, and a 2 man defensive shield of Musialik and Jedi will help to cut the Indonesian counters off quickly aerially the Og-monster also gives us an advantage at set pieces. Musialik plays as the holding midfielder, Jedi box to box, arriving late in the area and having a go from range when need be. Caceras and Dodd pick themselves IMO they have been incredible in recent weeks. Jamieson as a dedicated left sided attacking midfielder as opposed to his customary LB role is a risk, but in attack he has shown his class. D-Mac playing as a target man creates space for his strike partner, and Ruky has lightening pace, and an eye for goal so he gets the nod over the injury prone Thompson. Matty from the bench to create hovoc in the later period for a tiring defence. Corica makes the bench purely because his experience to the squad would be invaluable(similiar to the effect Beckham still has on the England squad), North and Vargas could easily start if need be. Covic doesnt make the side, again im a little biased  :p that and the Jets are last, and he may pay the price for this.

It will also be interesting to see how the HAL squad actually blends together as well, they dont really get the opportunity to play together aside from these type of games without the European players.

I think that it will be very excting to see an Australian A league side ... I like to think that one day ... one day the Socceroos will be a side full of A league talent good enough to play any side without needing the European players... a long way off, maybe... but still... I can dream

Hmmmmmmmm assuming availability, I would go:

Van Stratton

Ogmonster Moore North (CB's)

Jedi Monkey boy (DM's)

No idea? Jamieson (WB's)

Archie Dylan Dodd

In a defensive 433 formation.

alternates would be Matty & Ruka together with Vargas & Costanzo

the only 2 that spring to mind (rwb's)
Tarek Elrich (who liek i said is possibly Jets best player atm)
+ Cole- whom I dont rate as highly

Very intriguing.......... as much as I'd love to see three up front, this will be a classic Pim-away-from-home lineup, so we're probably talking a defensive 4-2-3-1, the one being the classic tall man knocking it down for speedy wingers.

-------------------Theoklitos---------------------
Milligan-------Moore------Ogmonster-------Jamieson
--------------Jedinak------Musialik----------------
Archie--------------Caceres------------------Dodd
-------------------McAllister----------------------
