ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

An interesting article.

One of the points Mike Tuckman brings up is the treatment of fans.
I was only thinking last week as I looked at the Parramatta Stadiun seating layout what shit seats clubs allocate to away fans.
For those that spend their hard earned to follow their team to away games it must be frustrating to have to sit in the shittiest seats in the stadium.

I realise we do it to away fans, but surely this needs to be looked at.
It`s all about filling the stadiums & creating an atmosphere.
Bring the away fans up to the halfway, lower deck seating.
Let us hear their songs, their cheers etc. & maybe our fans will respond.

I`ll be going to Parramatta but I`ll be damned if I`m going sit in the away bay,no matter how much I enjoy the comraderie of other Mariner`s supporters

I agree. Away areas should be better seating. Except for Scum.

The Away Bay at Parramatta Stadium is in a reasonably good spot actually.

It's not like the bay behind the goals is the best view of the game, even if it where vocal Yellow Army traditionally sits.

And it would be unrealistic to expect to get a seat on the halfway line for 20 bucks. That's where the 'rich list' and the pensioner types sit. And they would not want to be anywhere near yobs like us.

Ok FP.I can`t argue with you on that one.
The point is though that better placement of the away fans bay would probably encourage more away fans to attend. If we had full grounds every game it wouldn`t be as much of an issue, but when trying to fill the grounds & create a better atmosphere it`s something that should be looked at.

Bex...as far as being "soft as" I`ve watched games & coached in six different countries, endured 40+ & freezing temperatures, snow & monsoonal rain. Forgive me this "endulgence" in my old age...lol
